Hotel Reale

We booked our 4 night visit to Tuscany through Travelzoo and Travelodeal. The price and the added extras seemed a bit too good to be true but it turned out to be much better than expected ! The deal included flights to Pisa , 4 nights full board in the lovely Hotel Reale, welcome glass of Prosecco on arrival , bottle of wine on the table, trip on the funicular railway to the beautiful village of Montecatini Alto where a wine tasting visit was included . We were greeted by Angelina in the reception who, along with the rest of the team, made us so welcome during our stay , nothing was too much trouble . The food was good, wholesome Italian fare with a fabulous breakfast each morning and superb dinner each evening. Travel around the area was so easy too ! We arrived in Pisa, paid €1.8 on the bus to go and see the Leaning Tower then it was €5 on the train to Montecatini Terme which took just over an hour. The hotel was 5 mins walk from the station so superbly located in the centre of the town. Trips to nearby Lucca and Florence were really easy on the excellent trains and were only an hour away. One evening, the hotel arranged tickets to an Opera evening which was amazing and a real experience to hear live Opera in Italy. All in all we had a fabulous time and also can’t thank the Team at Traveodeal for doing such a great job with all the arrangements and extra little things like twin beds in one of the rooms and a vegan option for two people in our group of 8. Massive thanks to everyone.

After reading these reviews we were skeptical about how the hotel would be when we arrived .. However the hotel was great, the staff members were friendly and welcoming and had great understanding of English and were happy to help with booking, directions, recommendations or anything, the night time meal portions were great sized and kept you full The hotel was in a great location with everything just a walk away from the hotel , when we arrived we were greeted by a lovely lovely lady who offered us information about the location , gave us a welcome drink and answered any questions , she also helped us book opera which was also great we would absolutely love to return here one day , thank you Hotel Reale for making us love Italy 🇮🇹🇮🇹

This is the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in, the room was awful. The air-conditioning didn’t work. The door to the outside was stuck and I had to bend down to get out on the balcony. The view from the balcony was interesting full of rubbish in the streets, the room itself was something to behold, sticky headboard and the whole room was in need of redecoration, The wardrobe was so filthy that my partner refused to hang her clothes up in it. The evening meal was school dinners at Best. And breakfast was very poor, we complain to our booking company, and that evening we decided to leave.

Very friendly hotel, great value for money. Hotel staff were very accommodating. Particular mention to be made to receptionists Angela and Sara, who gave lots of information on places to visit and arranged taxis for us. Unfortunately on our arrival to Pisa there was a national train strike which left us stranded but Sara organised a taxi to pick us up and collect us at short notice for which we were extremely grateful!

Great value 3 star hotel - brilliant location, comfortable clean rooms, nice choice of food and we can only reiterate what others have said about the staff - extremely friendly and helpful. We would like to particularly thank Sara on reception who really did go the extra mile for us and secured tickets for the opera at short notice, even though it was obviously a busy day on reception. A big thank you to Hotel Reale for making our short stay a really special one!

Stayed here, booked by travlodeal. We were welcomed with fizz and a free bottle of wine at dinner, an unexpected touch. We were also surprised to have half board, free funicular & wine tasting vouchers. The staff were fabulous and really this is what made our stay here, they try their best to accommodate you and made our holiday when they secured sell out opera tickets for us. It was a good atmosphere for quiet drinks in an evening. The walls were not sound proof but this didn't impact too much as was quiet at night. Maybe take ear plugs if light sleeper. The food was reasonable. Great value for 3 star accomodation and a short break to Montecatini. Well placed for train station and local sights. Gratzi for looking after us ♥️🤍💚
