We booked another stay at Premier inn Monmouth for 3 nights . The hotel was very busy, car park was full. We were asked if we wanted to book breakfast for Sunday, we weren't sure of what time we wanted to eat, we were advised that they were busy from 08:00 -08:30, as group of 17 booked in. We came down at 09:00 only to be told no available tables as they were expecting a group of 17. Mixed communication. (We went to Weatherspoons) It was good to see Emma & Tracy again, with their smiles and good customer service. Rooms were clean, bed so comfortable. There were no water glasses in room. Hotel did seem in need of some TLC, mud on staircase, stained carpet in room, walls a bit battered in bathroom. We arrived at breakfast at 08:10 on Monday, to a near empty restaurant, chose continental breakfast, no orange juice, were told waiting for a delivery. On Tuesday morning, a notice stating - 'juice update' due to global shortages orange juice may not be available. Must be the same reason that there was no brown bread, also no sirloin steak Monday evening. We were surprised that there were so many issues this time as our stay in Monmouth is usually very good.
