I am currently traveling on business as a woman by myself. Someone just tried to enter my room at nearly 10:30 PM. Fortunately I had the deadbolt set, but it made me realize that there is no interior latch or chain on the door, and no peephole so I cannot even look to see if there is someone standing outside. Also, no phone in the room and no information about how to contact staff in case of emergency. In addition, this morning I tried to go to the lobby at 6AM only to learn that the elevators do not go all the way down until 6:30AM. To meet my ride I had to walk down a flight of stairs and leave via the back entrance. Not a huge deal for me I suppose, but there was no apparent way to get out of the building without at least one flight of stairs. What would a mobility impaired person do if there was an emergency in the middle of the night? In addition to the safety concerns, this is a pretty bare bones place. You have to check yourself in via a kiosk, there is no daily cleaning unless requested, and no coffee maker in the room (and no access to the coffee maker in the lobby between 11:30pm and 6:30am).
