Large kitchen with hardwood floors. Screened back porch and deck with views of the Peaks of Otter. Lovely front porch to sit and enjoy the sun rising over the pond, or cool evenings in the country. Only 5 miles to Smith Mountain Lake with access to boating, swimming and other water sports. Close to Roanoke, Bedford and Lynchburg for shopping, restaurants, museums and theaters. Historical sites nearby include the D-Day Memorial in Bedford and Booker T. Washington National Monument. Appomattox Court House is an hour away. We really enjoyed our stay! The home was very family friendly. After a day of site seeing at Poplar Forest and the D-Day Memorial we came back and played uno and games with our 11 yr old son. We also took a walk down the beautiful driveway to the neighboring church to read about its history. The home was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked w spices, dishes, cooking pans etc. We prepared breakfast and lunches but enjoyed diner out in Moneta. It was a great trip 10 out of 10. Btw: The ice cream from the local creamery is amazing!

Pastoral and peaceful We absolutely loved our stay here. The house was perfect—the layout was roomy and open ibitnalso allowed for personal space too. It was perfect for my elderly parents. The view from the front and back of the house was so beautiful and peaceful. There was a nice front and back porch and great yard for our son to play. It was also perfect for walks in the morning. We would absolutely stay here again

Absolutely beautiful We had the most wonderful stay at the farm. Sitting on the deck, having a coffee, listening to the occasional mooing, and taking in the beautiful mountain view made our weekend the most relaxing one we've had in years. The house is wonderful. It is very large, and the kitchen is a great place to make breakfast every day before heading out to go hiking or enjoying the lake. We would love to come back again soon. My daughter gave me one of the best compliments she has ever given me about a vacation. She said that I picked the perfect house.

Weekend stay The house and property was very nice! The views are amazing and the peace and quiet was wonderful. House had everything needed for a weekend stay and for longer. Overall it was great! My only suggestions would be more comfortable mattresses.

A beautiful getaway surrounded by nature We had a wonderful time. Our host was very accommodating and the house had everything you could think of and more. Lovely countryside and perfect for those looking peace and quiet. Highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful! The house was amazing! It’s very spacious and clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need! The bedrooms were roomy, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch, so peaceful with beautiful views. The location was perfect! The restaurants and grocery store were not too far away. Communication with Ms. Cathy was great! I would highly recommend this property and we will definitely visit again!!
