We have recently returned from an 11 night holiday at AQI Skanes. We have been to Tunisia several times and this hotel is the best one we have stayed at by far. We arrived at 11am by private transfer and thought we would have to wait to check in later in the day. But we were greeted by friendly staff and presented with cookies and drinks and taken to our rooms immediately. The rooms are a bit dated as others say but immaculately clean and maintained and let's be honest, who goes on holiday to a sunny country to sit in the room anyway?! We did have a small issue with one of the rooms initially but Aymen, the reception manager, sorted it out quickly without any fuss. The animation team Jess, Chico, Lulu, Foufa, Daisy Nelly, Oubama, Raul, Alice, Mady, Sam, Kris and Pakis work tirelessly to entertain day and night. They always have a smile on their face and really made our holiday with day time games and pool activities, dancing day and night and of course the kids club which our 10 and 8 year old girls went to daily because it was so much fun for them. There are 2 main pool areas. There is a quiet pool where everyone descends to for a foam party every Wednesday afternoon which was amazing, but otherwise is classed as the "relax pool" to do just that. We didn't really spend much time there though. Then there is the pool with water slides which we all enjoyed and is where the day time entertainment occurs. There is also a small children's pool with mini slides for those with younger kids. Lifeguards are plentiful around the pools too which is good to see. The pool areas are immaculate with housekeepers sweeping water away and cleaning continuously to avoid becoming slippery and empty glasses are collected regularly too. Thanks to all of these hard workers. There are bars at both pools serving beer, spirits, soft drinks and tea/coffee. Again always greeted with a smile and chat especially Mohammed at the lively pool. In the afternoons between 4 and 5pm, fresh doughnuts are made and served at a little hut but the relax pool. These are delicious and although I really didn't need one, they were too nice to turn down! Now to the food! I honestly have no idea how anyone can say they have struggled to eat!! The main restaurant had the most varied selection of food I've ever seen at All Inclusive. Breakfast included omelettes, fried eggs, pancakes, crepes, toast, beautiful pastries, cereal, French bread, hams, cheeses, sausages, boiled eggs, cooked veg, salad, fruit, smoothies, tea, coffee, and juices. Dinner was different every day with sections to cater for all nationalities. There was literally everything from freshly cooked beef, lamb, turkey, chicken and salmon steaks, paella, local cuisine, lasagne, beef pie, spicy chicken, pizza, pasta, salads, vegetables, chips, mash, baked potatoes, rice, fish, vegan. The list goes on. Each night had a different theme too, hence the variation in food on offer. Even our fussy kids ate loads this year! Our w
