Stayed at the lodge for a cross country jumping clinic. Equestrian facility and trainers, specifically Orla, and Joe, were excellent… I couldn’t have been more pleased. Horses are in excellent condition. Safety for both horse and rider were priority. Spa was fabulous, Marcela gave me the best facial I’ve ever had! Rooms are nice, customer service is great, food was great. Pub outside of estate was fun to visit. There is a village with shopping - 10 minute drive.

I recently stayed at Castle Leslie for a Blue Book AGM. It was so welcoming and memorable! I loved every minute of it. The walks, the horses, the stunning castle, the food and the superb team that makes this place so special. There is simply nothing not to like. With managers like Patricia, Conaire, the GM Kevin and their amazing team it’s no wonder. I appreciated the warmest of welcomes, the time spent learning about the property, swapping stories and being spoilt rotten! I can’t say enough about this place 💚. (Garden tour with Dezy a must!!)

Lovely two day break which felt like a world away. Very nice room, with everything you could need. Staff were excellent. Dined in both Conors Bar and Snaffles. Enjoyed a treatment in the spa. Great walks around the lake. Did the guided tour of Castle which was very engaging. Loved the whole experience.

What an incredible experience at Snaffles Restaurant in Castle Leslie! Every course was an absolute delight, showcasing the finest flavors with impeccable presentation. The food was truly exceptional, but what makes each visit unforgettable is the outstanding customer service. The entire staff is warm, attentive, and highly knowledgeable, which really elevates the dining experience. Special mention goes to Daniel, who went above and beyond for us last night. Since we don’t eat red meat or pork, he carefully checked every detail of the menu, even down to the bread and butter, to ensure everything met our preferences. His dedication and attention to detail were so appreciated. The team at Snaffles is a real credit to Castle Leslie, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended for a memorable evening!

In mid-October, my friend and I took a 6-day riding holiday at the Castle Leslie Estate. The weather was ideal. The lodging was comfortable. Our massages at the spa were fabulous. The food was good, with a nice variety of more upscale options in Snaffles and more basic grill-type foods at Conor’s Pub (both within the Lodge). I loved the effort to source foods locally; the Irish wheaten bread with local strawberry jam became a staple of my mornings! And it was nice that you could walk out the entrance gate straight into the village, where we visited both pubs, ate at the local grocery/cafe/gelato shop and took walks. But our main reason for staying at Castle Leslie was the equestrian program – and it absolutely lived up to our (high) expectations! What a great staff – from the friendly, hard-working barn crew who kept the yard spotless to the ride leaders and instructors (Gemma, Jo, Steven, Orla, Siorse) who helped us spruce up some skills and build confidence without ever forgetting we were all there to have fun. The horses were fit and clearly well cared for. And they were awesome at their jobs, whether we were taking estate (trail) rides through the gorgeous grounds, taking indoor lessons, or jumping cross-country. We had 10 rides over 6 days; I rode 5 horses (the lovely Willow & gentle giant Russel, plus Blueberry, Arnie, and Tana) & my friend rode 9 (including the absolutely adorable Henry, with his cute mustache!). (A fun aspect was getting to choose our favorite horse to ride on the last day.) I’m usually ready to go home by the end of a vacation, but this time I was literally sad to leave. I hope to be back!!
