The Norfolks on Moffat Beach

My husband and I enjoyed our return visit to Norfolks last week, in the same unit (3) as last time. Hard to beat views and accessibility to pool, beach and cafes. The bed is good and the cleanliness fine, but the lounges need replacing with something designed for the indoors. These ones lacked depth, had a very upright back, so not able to relax on them. A new area rug and artwork is overdue too really.

Wow! Just came back after a 4 night stay at Norfolks on Moffat’s Beach, Sunshine Coast and it was magical! Situated in prime position, donned with restaurants and coffee shops, opposite an awesome park with the beach directly in front, what more could you ask for? Lucky to accommodate a three bedroom unit on the upper floor with tastefully decorated furniture through - out and views to die for, we immediately felt at home. The master bedroom is at back with modern en-suite and private balcony, air conditioner, tv and crisp white shutters to assure a peaceful rest. Two single beds also with A/C and shutters invites you to the hallway where another main modern bathroom and double bedroom awaits for that extra couple or even grandma to enjoy the luxury as well. A dining table for six and welcoming living area awaits while drinking in the ocean views. An extremely well equipped, modern kitchen is the central space, with curved breakfast bar, truly a gourmet’s delight that finishes off this ‘one in a million unit.’ Complete with a massive balcony that you will spend most of your time on drinking and relaxing and catching the summer breeze. Heated pool with toddlers wading pool, sauna and beach shower and plenty of shaded lounge chairs await you, while gas barbecues and manicured gardens, top off your dream holiday. We enjoyed evening walks along the beach footpaths, stopping to sit in the many gazebos dotted around to enjoy the ambience of the beach. Coles and Woolworth are minutes away if you need supplies as are eateries and restaurants. Yes! ‘Norfolks’ is the place to stay for that luxury holiday we all dream about, while feeling pampered, yet at the same time feeling like you are home! We will be back… well done!

Appartement 2 chambres, propre, grand avec un balcon spacieux et vue mer. Une belle résidence bien entretenue, la piscine et jacuzzi sont très agréables. Convient parfaitement aux familles. Une bonne adresse sur la Shunshine Coast.

This resort is a favourite of hour family’s.We have stayed here a couple of times.The views from the wide balconies of the beautiful beach and the hotel pool are lovely.Moffatt Beach itself is quite beautiful.Our room had two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and are well appointed and spacious.A bit expensive on weekends but worth it.

Owner was a real issue , not user friendly at all !! Stay clear of this place Other staff were quite happy and considerate but the owner is not good . Had a booking made and then he had stuffed it up his end

Lovely apartment great views of the ocean - right opposite playground/park then ocean- next door amazing choice of restaurants and micro brewery. apartment has balcony to sit and watch the water. Apartment clean with all amenities wanted

Beautiful location with great views, lots of construction and nearby renovations meant noisy early mornings though. As per previous comments, apartment needed a good clean. Vents in bathroom filthy with dust, bedroom ceilings covered in either dust or some kind of mould that we swept off, leaving grime all over the beds. Living room curtains covered in mould. Shame, I had always wanted to stay in this complex but I would not return.

We have been staying here for holidays for 20 years. I did give the manager, Matthew Taverner, 2 opportunities to reply to an email and a phone call over a period of 7 days. We had booked a 2bed2 bathroom unit on the ground floor. We were given a 2 bed, 1 bathroom unit - unit 3. The unit was found to have: - a sewerage smell throughout - the bathroom pipes had an extreme smell - the toilet looked uncleaned - the dishwasher was not functioning properly and was very smelly - the crockery was unmatched chipped and dirty - the laundry light appeared to have a short in it - as even turned off - it flickered - both bedrooms smelled mouldy and the main bedroom had visible mould on ceiling and architraves. - lounge and cushions smelly and mouldy - we did not get our room serviced after 7 nights as advertised Very disappointing.

Stayed 2 nights as a family of 5 for husband’s birthday. Appt 8 we had. I think it must have been the appt that had been forgotten as it was unrenovated , old, very damp, smelt of mould and bathroom smelt like septic. Did mention to manager and lady came to pour draino down the sink and admitted it was really bad. Only positive was bed was comfortable. I found we paid a primo price for an exceedingly average appt. Will not return.
