We have been visiting Perricoota Vines for well over ten years, as a couple, and also on yearly family Summer holidays. This is the first time we ever cut our trip short, because we were so disappointed. Yes, the grounds are still beautiful. The cleaners do a brilliant job of leaving the rooms immaculate. But other than that no maintenance has gone into this resort for a very long time. The pool is in a bad state- concrete tiles are lifting up and lying around. At one point we witnessed kids picking them up and throwing them around as sinker toys. I suggested to management that they be removed from the area as they were dangerous, but this never happened. On day two of our trip my husband was sitting in a pool chair and it completely broke under him. He ended up badly bruised, bloody, and scratched up. I called management to tell them what had happened and they gave me bandaids and Betadine, then sent me on my way. At no point did they check on my husband. The spa in our room was temperamental. The button for the jets often got stuck and the jets would be stuck on. A cockroach was in the bathroom. And the worst of the worst was the lack of internet. You should not have to sit in your bathroom to check your emails or do your banking. Thank god our son doesn’t rely on the internet for entertainment, because he would have been bitterly disappointed. In the past we have been made to feel like valued guests at Perricoota resort. But now it feels like Management just want our money. They are never in the office, and you need to call their mobile if you have an issue, which leaves you feeling like you are disturbing them. We won’t be staying here again, which is very very sad after ten years of memories.
