Under Canvas Moab

I've always liked camping, but my wife likes staying in luxurious hotels, so the glamping experience offered by Under Canvas is an excellent compromise. It's about as far as she will go in "roughing" it. We've been to a few Under Canvas locations and I especially like the wood burning stove in the higher-end tents. I feel a major sense of accomplishment when I get the fire going first thing in the morning, especially after being woken up to "honey, we need the fire". The tents themselves are very comfortable, king-size bed with plenty of down comforters, en-suite bathroom, and other nice touches such as bed-side tables and USB lamps. As for the overall experience, the staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful, always willing to provide help and guidance as needed. And for this particular Under Canvas location, Moab provides spectacular night skies with the milky way clearly visible to the naked eye. And you're within a short drive to Arches and Canyonlands national parks, as well as a few other state parks. The nearby hiking trails offer some great views, and if you're in any way interested in geology or paleontology then you will not be disappointed.

If you love camping, this adventure is for you. The location, amenities, staff and overall vibe are just what we were looking for. The only thing I would warn you about is highway noise . Because you’re in the desert, noise travels so we suggest you bring noise canceling ear buds of some sort. We did and slept great!! We can’t wait for our next UnderCanvass adventure!

I absolutely cannot say enough good things about my Under Canvas experience. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jacob who gave us a tour of the property and helped us get situated. We attended the evening yoga and meditation under the stars which was wonderful. Imagine meditating while looking at the Milky Way. The word magical does not do it justice. From our tent we had a sunrise view of Arches. Again, magical. The location was about 20 minutes from Moab and thirty to Canyonlands and Dead Horse (a great place to see the sunset, btw). We could not have loved this any more. The people who work there also did everything to anticipate our every need. Worth every penny.

If you are looking to experience total darkness, see shooting stars and the Milky Way then Under Canvas Moab is where you need to book your next trip. I can't say enough about this unique, amazing, peaceful, gem of a place. I live in Denver and took a road trip with my 20-year old daughter to drop her off at Oregon State University. I've never been to Arches NP or Moab and this was the perfect opportunity. I heard of Under Canvas from a co-worker and was intrigued by the concept and I always wanted to try glamping. Full transparency, I was shocked at the price but decided to indulge since this was a special road trip. This group and location EXCEEDED my expectations and I would happily pay the price again, and I will. We stayed in the safari tent and I'm really glad we did. Paying extra for the en suite bathroom wouldn't have been worth the extra cost. The shared bathrooms were clean, the towel 'closet' kept all sizes of towels stocked and WARMED and we never had to wait for one of the 6 bathrooms. Each bathroom is private and is spacious with your own sink, toilet, shower and all the toiletries you need. The space is thoughtfully designed with multiple towel and clothing hooks and a place to hold your personal items. Honestly, better than a hotel that never has a hook anywhere in the room or bathroom! Sometimes its the little things. The evening smores around any of the multiple campfires was a great evening treat. There was a guitarist playing who was fabulous as the gazillion stars awoke in the evening sky. Nothing better than nature, guitar playing, chocolate and seeing shooting stars. It was nice to quietly chat, meet other guest and hear where they came from. Throughout the property there are great lounging areas in the most comfortable couches, chairs and hammocks. Most areas have sail shades to provide some relief from the hot sun. This location didn't have a restaurant on property, but they did have three great BBQ areas with Weber gas grills guests could use, tables, and sail shades. If I were to stay longer than one night I would have brought food or quickly gone into downtown Moab (10 mins away) to the grocery store and used the grill. The tents are beyond awesome. Each has their own wood stove with all the supplies needed to start a fire. I loved how the staff encourages guests to start the fire on their own, but if unsuccessful you can text the reception and they will come do it for you! Moab in early Sept did not need the stove, but I could see in other cooler locations how amazing it would be to use. The portable chargers they provide did a great job charging iphones, air pods, ipads and watches. Also in the tent is a small fan along with a lantern that you can take with you at dark to walk the property. Beds were so comfy, linens were better than most hotels and I had the best nights sleep! What a fun experience! From the moment of checking in to the moment of checking out the staff was wonderful, smiling, welcoming and helpful. The tents a well kept and spacious! The bathhouse was also very clean and the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner were luxurious and smelled phenomenal. The amenities were also very welcome. I loved they provided bags of ice for coolers, also the cooling clothes were amazing! The nightly activities were also fun! I have a cool small ceramic pot that I painted one evening that will always remind me of Under Canvas.

Great experience of sleeping in a tent, in the middle of nothing. Tent are cleaned. Sustainability is top! I would highly recommend.
