Extremely unpleasant experience at Toyoko Inn.
During breakfast, we were asked to either move to another table or leave altogether because the table we were sitting at was apparently "reserved" by a dirty glass.
Seriously? Is this a new reservation system — leave behind a used cup and disappear?
We had no way of knowing that an abandoned dirty glass meant the entire table was “booked.” Meanwhile, there was a line of guests waiting for seats, and instead of managing the space fairly, the staff allowed someone to “claim” a table and leave — at the expense of others who were actually there.
It raises the question: is this how Toyoko Inn treats all guests, or is this kind of attitude reserved for people with European appearance?
It left a very bad taste.
This incident overshadowed all the good things about this hotel.
