Tranmere House

We were so pleased with the accommodation. We booked a king size double room which was beautifully decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the room was kitted out with everything we needed. The ensuite was beautiful too and we had the added bonus of an extra side room which we used as a dressing area. The hosts were so welcoming and very lovely. The breakfasts were of excellent quality and we both thoroughly enjoyed them. We would definitely recommend Tranmere House and hope to visit again soon! Excellent value for money!

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of August to explore the beautiful National Trust properties in the area. Tranmere House made a perfect base. The booking system with Mark and Leisa over the telephone was simple and effective. The B and B was very easy to find with lots of free parking outside. We were greeted by both Mark and Leisa who were both very helpful, welcoming and friendly. Our room was immaculately clean and well organised with plenty of storage and tea making facilities. Leisa even made the special effort of making sure we were provided with camomile tea bags. The bathroom was spotless. The shower was lovely and easy to use after a day of walking. The beds were extremely comfortable. It is close to the town and yet a quiet location so nice and quiet at nighttime. Our room overlooked Exmoor National Park and a playing field which was also very nice to return to. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with many options including special dietary requirements such as gluten free and vegan. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with such kind hosts and will look forward to returning and recommending to friends.

We had a wonderful stay! Mark and Leisa were so friendly and helpful. Mark even lent my partner a belt to wear to the wedding, as last minute we realised it had been left at home! What a star! Thank you!

We stayed here for 2 nights and we are so happy to have found it ! Lisa and mark are so very friendly and welcoming , they were ready with lots of local knowledge and it felt like you were visiting friends. the room was spotless and really comfortable and the choice for breakfast was fantastic. The location is perfect walking distance to everything and quiet too. Will be back for sure.

Amazing stay, we were really looked after by Mark and Leisa. Room was super tidy and Mark’s full English is quality. No fuss getting in and out, plenty of parking and great location near the beach and close to pubs/ restaurants and theatre. Would 100% stay again!!

Leisa and Mark were Very welcoming , the hotel was spotless, the location was perfect, room had everything we needed and was given fresh milk on arrival. All the facilities were just what we needed. Breakfast was spot on. Pictures on the website are exact to the rooms when you arrive. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again
