Takaragawa Onsen Ousenkaku
"Se oli vaimoni syntymäpäivä hotelli auttoi minua järjestämään erityinen tapaus. Olen oleskelenut 5+ kertaa se on tullut erittäin turisti lähinnä ulkomaalaisten ja ainoa valitus oli vähän valvontaa etiketti ihmiset ottaa kuvia ja käyttää uima-asuja"
Minakami Hotel Juraku
"Hevosen ryhmä on hyvin kohtelias, joka pystyy kokemaan ihmisten ja ihmisten välisiä yhteyksiä hyvällä tavalla.Laitteisto on hyvin puhdas, henkilöstö on erittäin innokas ja erittäin miellyttävä. Tonejoen lähellä sijaitsevassa hotellissa, joen ääni paransi minut. Buffet on korkea laatu, lämmin ja lämmin aamulla ja illalla, tämä on täydellinen hotelli!"
Tatsumikan
"Perfect! Staffs were amazing"
Oyado Matsubaya
"Tunnet kuin kotona on antiikin ryokan hotelli. Mutta sisällä näyttää puhtaalta ja modernilta, omistaja huolehtii siitä hyvällä tavalla kuin sukulainen. On suuri julkista kylpyhuonetta erillisiä miehiä ja naisia. Huone itse on tilava, ei epämukava. Jos tulen takaisin, varaan täällä taas. Suositeltavaa"
Houshi Onsen Chojukan
"Nice rooms, good country location, excellent kaiseki dinners. Staff were helpful. Great onsen - large mixed bathing area, also fabulous small outdoor hot pool with little waterfall - separate times for male and female. Only 20 minutes away by car is the lovely craft village Takumi No Sato. Well worth a visit. Only major disappointment was that the wifi did not work in the rooms ( despite what *********** said on our reservation form) so had to go to communal lounge near the office to get reception."

"I visited this inn for work. The sister inn Senjyuan was really good, so I decided to stay here this time! I wanted to relax by myself, so I booked one with an open-air bath. I made a reservation on the day, but they were flexible in their response. The hospitality was reminiscent of Senjyuan, from the moment I arrived until the time I was shown around. The food was also very satisfying, and made generous use of local ingredients. I really enjoyed this traditional hot spring inn."

"I want to echo Kate M.’s review from a few months ago, especially as I found its age to be rather charming! My single night here had me wishing I booked for a longer stay to take advantage of what this place had to offer! After seeing how much the explosion in tourism numbers have pushed up hotel rates around the Kanto region (especially for the weekend I was there!) I decided to explore further afield and found myself here. I ended up upgraded to a river view room which provided beautiful views of the gorge and the town across the gorge. As with typical Japanese-style rooms, I would find the futons laid out by housekeeping and ready to go once I’d arrive back from the dinner that was a more traditional affair while breakfast was the typical buffet spread but with local dishes and ingredients as well as Western options. I was only able to try one onsen (Okutone Hachiyu) which was refreshing, though unfortunately it seemed that the outdoor section of the bath was closed when the onsen first opened for the day. I guess it’s all the more reason to return! As expected, the staff were wonderful and truly made me feel welcome despite being what appeared to be the only foreign guest staying there that night. I definitely appreciated the shuttle van they offered that would connect either with Minakami Station or Jomo-Kogen and was able to coordinate pickup times in English with both Japanese and international staff ready to help with any questions leading up to and during the stay. I’d definitely come back here if I somehow find my way back to the area as one night truly didn’t do justice for this amazing property!"

"So many little things that make this hotel much better than anything else. The way they show you to your room, the way they put your shoes away and bring them back on your departure date, the way dinner and breakfast is waiting for you at your own private table, the way they let couples share an onsen during quiet hours. My point is - you will feel like a VIP here. The staff and always there, taking care of you in subtle ways, but you never feel watched or intruded on. This kind of invisible service - maybe hard for westerners to understand, but it is excellent. You will feel like you are really being understand and looked after. Highly recommend. Best hotel service I've had in japan in 2 years of living here. Highly recommended."

Fukunoya
"The place was clean and the hot springs were great, but when we arrived for dinner, which was supposed to start at 6:30 pm, it wasn't ready. We were kept waiting, and even after being seated, it took over 30 minutes for the shabu-shabu pot and meat to arrive... some people waited for an hour. The website showed luxurious tempura and other dishes, but all we got was shabu-shabu, sushi, simmered dishes, and jelly. Breakfast was also disappointing, and this was with two meals included, costing over 10,000 yen per person compared to a room-only stay! And to top it all off, there were only about five staff members, so I wonder how they plan to get through a public holiday... All the staff were foreigners, and their Japanese was broken. It was heartbreaking to see one person working so hard and apologizing. It's such a shame, especially since they said they were trying to make a living by renovating a closed-down inn."
Bettei Senjyuan
"A small but luxurious hotel. The building hidden in the forest, the curved corridor is impressive! Perfect service! Enjoy fine dinners and breakfasts in a private room at the restaurant. In-room snacks and refrigerator drinks are free. After dinner, rice balls and heating hotplates are provided in the room. Looking out from the garden, you can see red leaves and distant mountains covered with snow. Very pleasant experience!"
Onsen Theme Park Ryuudou
"We spent a wonderful week at the Ryudo onsen. I've read lots of other reviews in different languages where people complain about the cleanliness being subpar and similar things. These things always depend on what you expect. This onsen is certainly not the newest and has a long history. For us, however, everything here was positive: we really liked our room - you could actually say a suite with a separate bedroom, living room, bathroom and our own garden onsen if you like - and we had a really relaxing week here. The fact that this place has 18 different baths, each with its own separate design, is the highlight. The food is excellent - every day there was a typical Japanese breakfast and dinner with a lively selection of vegetables, meat and fish dishes. The nature is beautiful and invites you to take long walks. The lobby is comfortably warm and the free Wi-Fi is extremely convenient for people who don't have Japanese cell phones. We traveled all the way from Munich and I suspect it won't be the last time."
Taiyokan
"I came to Yushuku Onsen. The Taiyokan hotel we stayed at is an inn that has been open since the early Meiji era. The private semi-open-air bath (one time free, 50 minutes) was new, modern, and clean. Mineral water was also available which was helpful as it was a particularly hot day. One of the indoor baths, where men and women were rotated, had the atmosphere of a spa. The hair dryer in the bathroom had too little wind power, so I returned to the private bath without drying my hair. The other indoor bath was nice, with a large window overlooking the greenery, and the water not being too hot (there was no problem with the hair dryer). The hot spring water is flowing directly, and there are little black flowers floating in the water. The Japanese-style room on the third floor is quiet and spacious, with a wide veranda. The room also had a garden and an Inari statue. Dinner was at a restaurant, with a partition between us and the table next to us. Dinner was a senior plan with a carefully selected number of items. Each item was beautifully presented and delicious. Although it was a plan with a small number of items, the portion was quite large and I ended up passing up the last meal. However, I didn't pass on the dessert and just had it. As for alcohol, Tanigawatake (300cc), a super dry Japanese sake, was 1100 yen. The staff at the restaurant were non-Japanese, but they were very polite. Satisfied with the dinner and hot springs, Tsureai said, ``Next time, I'll come back in the winter!'' Breakfast was also very good. The miso soup has so many ingredients that it's enough to make two bowls, the saikyo-zuke fish is delicious, and the refreshing vinegar-flavored simmered hijiki, burdock-only kinpira, *grilled food, fish cake-style dishes, and salads are so filling that you won't be able to replace the rice. was. Satisfied with the breakfast, Tsureai said, ``It's nice to stay here for two nights in the winter. The inn is along the national highway, so you can come even if it snows. There's also Wi-Fi.'' After my early morning bath and breakfast, I had coffee in the front lounge. I was told that I could drink it anytime during my stay. When I checked out, the landlady came out and saw me off. Everyone at this hostel was polite and kind."

"This is my 2nd time starting at this hotel. Dinner and breakfast a so good. Recommend stay here."

"Rakennukset ovat vanhoja mutta vahvoja rakennuksia. Oliko ne alun perin valmistettu valtion virkamiehille? Olen ollut turistina rakennuksissa. Se voi olla väistämätöntä, koska se on vierailija, mutta ruoka on ruoka. Ruoka on hyvä maku. Suosittelemme pieniä perhe-altaita suurten julkisten varastosäiliöiden vieressä. Ehkä se on vapaa liikkuvuus."
Nitaya
Kinseikan Seseragi
"This was truly the first time in years I'd received such genuine hospitality at a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn). The attentiveness of the staff and the quality of service were superb!"
Matsunoi
"The restaurant was too crowded."
Hotel Yu-No-Jin
"The cost performance was excellent. It included one night stay, two meals, and unlimited alcohol at night. This is my second time using this hotel this term. I was scammed by the student discount though... (bitter smile). The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that the parking lot was full and I had to park in a distant spot, so I wish they had guided me a little better."
