The Westin Milwaukee

Good location for business trip 1-2 days and easy to take taxi.

I've had the pleasure of traveling many places in the world and don't often do reviews, but this stay was so positive that I feel the need to spread the word! Upon checking into the property, we had reached out regarding an opportunity for a room upgrade given our Bonvoy status. While that request cleared, our preference for a room with two-beds was overlooked and we were instead booked into a Jr. Suite with a king bed. We were traveling with a friend and wanted them to have bed rather than a pull out sofa bed. Hollee was the manager/agent checking us in, and went to work immediately to find a solution. I was amazed as she upgraded us to the Presidential Suite, and then gave us an ADDITIONAL adjoining room, for no extra charge. I couldn't believe the gesture of kindness. The room itself was stunning with beautiful views of Lake Michigan and a massive spa-designed bathroom with soaker tub and deluxe shower. Everything in the room was up to Westin standards--the bed was so comfortable and the suite in general was very inviting. I haven't had a front desk staff work so hard to make sure everyone (not just myself) in my party was beyond satisfied with the room. We will be back and will be spreading the word to family and friends. A few notes of things to consider to make the property shine even brighter...I would consider having a couple fans available for guests who request them. I would also consider revisiting the price of parking on property. The fee is a bit hard to justify when parking is available for significantly less just across the street (which is what we did). Very basic room for the amount of money we paid- roof view- not impressed at all! As a travel agent, I really expect much more from a Westin than what we got here. Biggest problem- BED BUGS!!! Had 4 bites when I woke up the next morning. The bright spot was the reception desk- girls were very friendly, informative, and fun!!

I recently traveled to Milwaukee for quick business trip. After a long day of travel and meetings, the room was clean and comfortable. The shower was amazing. At the end of night 2, I came back to a very clean room. Unfortunately, the housekeeping staff disposed of all of my receipts, making my expense reporting difficult. I called the front desk to see if they could help, and boy am I glad Dhmitriana answered. She went above and beyond, calling the restaurant I had dined at the night prior and was able to get a new copy of my receipt. She was even willing to dig through the garbage to look for them. I will be staying here on future business trips. If you see Dhmitriana at the front desk, just know you are in EXCELLENT hands.

I Will never stay here again. I would put this property in there with a motel 6. The valet is the biggest thief. I had $2000 worth of tools stolen out of the bed of my truck, which was locked when I stayed with them, and it was in their care. The Western says it cares about its customers but doesn’t want to do anything about it or respond. I did finally get to talk to someone at the front desk, and she said this happened to a couple other people a week or two before we stayed there I would never recommend any to stay at the West Downtown Milwaukee. If you do do not use the valet service.

Hotel is beautiful and in a great location. Also, the view from our hotel rooms of the lake is stunning. Rishav at the front office was very kind and helpful and even recommended places around the city to go to. We will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Milwaukee!

This is our second time staying at Westin and it was great! Rishav took great care of us at the front desk checking us in. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend! Super clean, and the staff is super attentive and friendly. The restaurant is conveniently in the lobby.

Thank you, Rishav for being so kind and welcoming. You really made us feel special with the wine and the chocolates. The room with the voew of the lake was very clean and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the Stella restaurant and both were wonderful. Cathy was our server for dinner and was very friendly and attentive. I our food was excellent and arrived quickly even though there were several big groups in the restaurant. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a great experience. Rishav at the front desk listened carefully to our needs and made a switch of rooms so we could have our needs met. Staff was friendly and went over and beyond to make us comfortable. The lake and museums are a block away. We had a great time.
