Holiday Inn Express & Suites Milan – Sandusky Area

Brent was amazing! He put up with our 11u baseball team and did it with a smile. He was very helpful with everything we needed. Top-notch service! We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone in the future based on the service he provided.

We had a great experience! Brent was so helpful at the front desk!!! We had our baseball team and needed a bunch of extras and he was just amazing at accommodating all of us and was very patient with annoying, wild boys. Rooms were cleaned daily which is hard to find these days!!! Breakfast was good and beds were comfy!

The overall hotel (room, lobby, etc) was very clean. The beds are comfortable, not too hard and not too soft. Pillows were both firm and soft. The room itself was very spacious. (We had a room at the end of the hallway). Nice fire pit outside. Breakfast was really good. Lots to choose from. We didn’t use the pool, we didn’t have time but it was a small indoor pool.

We were required to stay at this Holiday Inn because we were participating in a volleyball tournament. We spent two nights at this hotel and there was absolutely no hot water for the entirety of the weekend. I called multiple times to inquire if the hot water problem is going to be fixed. The person at the desk stated that they were aware of the problem but it was never fixed or addressed I left my phone number for the manager to contact me so I could be compensated for this major inconvenience. No one in the hotel had hot water at all the entire weekend. The hotel had plenty of time to address the problem however they chose not to. I do not recommend this hotel

Good front desk service/greeting. The corridors and general gathering spaces are kept very clean. The room was very clean and comfortable. The shower (and all the bathroom), was perfect. The bathroom was not at all cramped, and the shower is great! I would DEFINITELY recommended this hotel.

Just a one night stay on the way back home from Cleveland. Convenient location just off the highway and easy to locate. The hotel is fairly new so it still has that new look and feel. It’s definitely clean and during our stay I saw staff cleaning the lobby area to maintain a good look. The room itself is spacious with plenty of space between the beds. Even the bathroom is a touch bigger than what I’ve seen in some hotels. There’s plenty of room to drop your gear, a mini fridge and microwave, and a good sized TV to complete the room. What I really appreciate is the light-blocking blinds that keep the room dark. They sit inside a groove so no daylight comes in. What they don’t block out is noise from the road. If you’re a light sleeper, request a room on the back half of the hotel (odd numbered rooms). It was quiet during our stay (passing traffic aside) but the hotel was far from full and I don’t think there were any other patrons near us. Breakfast was a bit of a let down compared to other HI Express locations I’ve stayed at. Offerings are sparse with only basic fare. No yogurt to be found, nor were there any pastries. This chain used to offer hot cinnamon rolls (there’s even a sign and spot for it in the serving area) but it doesn’t seem like it’s available anymore. “Fresh fruit” turned out to be just apples. I get it - it’s complimentary but it should still be a worthwhile offering if you’re advertising “breakfast included”. The room rate was good but that could be a reflection of the time of year. With summertime amenities just down the road (Cedar Point, Kalahari etc.) I could see it jumping in in the peak season. Overall though, comfortable, clean and friendly staff. If they could improve the breakfast, it could easily be a 5/5.

This was our team hotel for our baseball tournament at Sports Force Park. It’s located close to the restaurants and shopping on Rt 250 and not far from the fields or Cedar Point. There is plenty of space to hangout in the lobby and patio area including a meeting space. The rooms were clean and nicely updated with the option of 2 beds and pullout sofa with microwave, kuerig and fridge. The breakfast was great and rotated between scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, bacon and turkey sausage and omelets, fried potatoes, sausage links and turkey sausage. There were warm cinnamon rolls and other options as well. With at least 2 teams with hungry athletes they kept the breakfast full each morning. There were also always towels for the pool. The ice machine on the 3rd floor always had plenty of ice which was great to fill coolers and the laundry was cheap, maybe $3 to wash and dry. The hotel was also surprisingly quiet after 10 which is surprisingly with as many kids are in the hotel. I would highly recommend!

Suppose a person sat down and figured out what features would embody The Perfect Hotel? That is what seems to have happened when this hotel was designed. Brightly lit, immaculately clean, comfortable bed, well-designed shower, hooks in the bathroom, flat surfaces and nooks for one's belongings, coffee station, refrigerator and microwave at viewing height, plenty of outlets for digital devices.. including a Smart TV to which streaming movies could be cast. There are side tables for each side of the bed and uplighting across the headboard. Breakfast had numerous options and the breakfast area has a few conference tables that will accommodate laptop connections. Even the elevator offers a smooth ride ;)

This was a quick overnight stop on our way to Chicago. Literally booked it 10 minutes before we checked in and so glad we did. This property seems to be brand new. Everyone was super nice the place was well appointed and spotless, check in seamless. Highly recommend!
