Midgard

Where to start.. Our entire experience was nothing short of amazing. From a personalized welcome note upon arrival, to a different bouquet of flowers each morning for breakfast. The staff’s attention to detail was superb and our waiter Kapere saw to our every need. Everyone over were super friendly and Nicklaus our ranger for the game drive made our day out even more memorable with his vast knowledge of everything in the reserve. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend anyone looking to getaway from the busy city life to give Midgard a visit. We’re sad to leave but definitely will be back in the future.

The place is amazing and the staff super helpful and careful, really loved the whole experience. Unfortunately we weren’t able to try additional services but the offer is various and well curated. The stay was so relaxing and the food so good I would have gladly extended my stay for another week.

Wir waren für zwei Nächte auf Midgard und es war herausragend! Von den Rasenflächen über das Restaurant bis zu unserem Zimmer ist alles sehr gepflegt, sauber und schön anzusehen. Alle Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend und nett. All das ist nicht immer selbstverständlich. Am ersten Abend gab es ein Dinner-buffet wo keine Wünsche offen blieben. Am zweiten Tag hatten wir eine leckere À la carte Auswahl mit 3 Gängen. Beim Frühstück gab es eine große Auswahl für jedermann. Es gibt verschiedene Pools, gemütliche Plätze mit und ohne Sonnenschutz, eine ausgefallene Bar und sogar ein Gym. Besonders gefallen hat uns der Ausritt mit Libala Horse Trails. Die Natur ist unbeschreiblich und die Guides unglaublich nett und kompetent im Umgang mit Mensch und Pferd. Ich selber bin noch nicht zu oft geritten aber fühlte mich sehr wohl auf dem Pferd, da man eine gute Einführung bekommt und die Tiere sehr zahm sind. Es ist möglich Deutsch, Englisch und Afrikaans zu sprechen. Vielen lieben Dank wir werden wieder kommmen!

The setting is exquisite and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a fantastic time. We did the horse riding which was wonderful. We did the skittle bowling which was super fun with a group. We found the restaurant and kitchen staff very helpful and accommodating. We also did a hike on one morning and this is the one area I think could use a bit of improvement as the "map" on the wall of the reception is not really enough to go on to find the routes. Our stay was outstanding and we highly recommend this magical place.

Absolutely love this place. Very friendly staff all round. Big thumbs up to Samuel. What a guy. Friendly and very professional. Quality of food and beverages served are of high standard. Breakfast buffet spread was amazing. You will definitely see me again.

It was amazing Samual is the kindest man ever he is at the diner and rooms are very fancy comes with a tv with YouTube there is bowling a room with very old cars a jumping castle a slip and slide and 3 pools the game drive is amazing i had such a great experience
