Viva Miches by Wyndham, a Trademark All Inclusive Resort

Viva Miches I recently stayed at Viva Miches and overall had a mixed experience. This was My first SOLO trip but I’ve been to several resorts in PC with hubby, family and friends. Pros: The beach is beautiful, calm, and has plenty of chairs and natural shade from the trees (though be aware, the fish do nip a bit when you’re in the water and the sand flees are really bad). The gym is well-equipped and impressive—though there’s no air conditioning, so be ready for a sweaty workout. Simon, the gym attendant will take care of you. The on-site coffee shop is a nice touch (though usually staffed by just one person). Having a coffee maker in the room and easy access to milk at the bars was handy too. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. Reservations for restaurants are easy to make through the app. The resort overall is kept very clean. The clientele is mostly Italian and Argentinian; staff primarily speak Spanish or Italian, with very little English. Small resort so manage and wheelchair accessible. The entertainment staff is on their game! Cons: The food is repetitive—buffets are mostly the same every day. The restaurants are average but you will not go hungry! No poolside or beachside drink service, so you’ll need to get your own. The drive from the airport felt unsafe: a narrow, winding two-lane highway. 1.5 hour drive. No small luxuries like robes, slippers, or face cloths. No smoking restrictions, so guests smoke wherever they like. No English TV channels (though Netflix and Prime are available—thankfully, I caught up on a lot of shows!). The mini fridge doesn’t include beer and isn’t restocked. The hotel is currently under construction although it just opened in December 2024 (redoing all main walkways). Overall: Viva Miches offers a clean resort with a gorgeous beach, good gym, and some nice conveniences, but it misses the mark on food variety and luxury touches. If you’re looking for a no-frills, clean, beach-focused stay and don’t mind limited English, it might work for you—but those seeking higher-end amenities may want to look elsewhere. I would say a 3 star but great budget hotel for what I paid. I would not come back due to the distance from the airport, really the only reason!

Hotel TI familiar, com excelente relação qualidade-preço. Praia incrível. Comida do buffet variada, saborosa, bem confeccionada e com qualidade. Serviço oferecido e produtos, muito bom de uma forma geral para o valor… Restaurante da especialidade ATLANTIS muito bom e com muita qualidade e bom serviço. O restaurante Latin Fusion não me agradou nem a comida nem o serviço e não recomendo. Aconselho a alteração deste restaurante para um italiano…terá imenso sucesso uma vez que dispões dos recursos necessários… Apesar de ser um hotel familiar, deverá melhorar o serviço e funcionamento do kids club que deverá contar com animadoras e funcionárias que possam supervisionar as crianças, tal como funciona em outros hotéis…penso que também deveria existir uma pequena piscina para crianças junto ás outras para que possam brincar sem problemas ou restrições…a segurança não entende que as crianças querem brincar na piscina com os pais e chama várias vezes a atenção dos pais relativamente ás brincadeiras na piscina…não acho conveniente uma vez que se trata de um hotel familiar… Os telefones existentes nos quartos não funcionam, não conseguimos ligar para a recepção ou para o guest service…não entendo… Sugiro que o volume da musica durante as atividades e shows seja mais baixo e adequado…é excessivo para as crianças… Durante o fim de semana o hotel não é bem frequentado e fica superlotado devido aos locais que não são muito respeitosos… Roubaram-me um saco com protetores solares durante a minha estadia e não apareceu… Quarto 3415 Marcos Esteves e Filipa Pereira Estadia De 29/8 até 5/9 Nacionalidade Portuguesa Viajante frequente

Visited in August as a family of four (2 adults, 2 children). While the resort is clean, well-presented, and has friendly staff, there were several issues that left us disappointed: Resort/Food/General: • Frequent shortages of soft drinks (e.g., Sprite, Fanta). • Many bars serve flat soft drinks from bottles. • Pool bar often understaffed; locals/Spanish speakers get served first—speak up if needed. • Buffet food is repetitive, often just warm, and exposed to flies/wasps; no themed nights. • À la carte restaurants offer a change of scenery, but the food is average. • Limited parasols at the pool (1 per 4 beds); gazebo spots are gone by 6:15 AM. • No parasols on the beach—must move beds around palm trees. • Entertainment team are very good Club Viva Membership Warning: • Sales reps push expensive Club Viva memberships with little actual benefit. • Promised "gifts" often not delivered. • VIP perks (e.g., rooftop pool, beach section) are mostly empty or underwhelming. • High cost ($1000s over years) with high interest rates if not paid upfront. Safety Incident – Poor Response: During our stay, my son was involved in an accident that, in my view, resulted from clear negligence on the part of the hotel. The incident took place in the main buffet restaurant, near the soft drinks dispenser and fridge area. This section of the restaurant was consistently wet due to self-service, with no visible efforts made to keep the floor dry or to warn guests of the hazard. More concerning was a large, heavy-duty padlock left unlocked and dangling at knee height on the drinks fridge. Its placement was entirely inappropriate—it should have been either at the top or bottom of the fridge. Combined with the fact that the fridge doors did not fully close and remained ajar, the padlock became a prominent risk. My son slipped on the wet floor and fell forward, striking his knee directly on the padlock. This resulted in a deep cut and dizziness, and he nearly lost consciousness. Thankfully, my wife was nearby and managed to support him and help him sit down. We had no option but to take him to the on-site doctor, who, after basic checks, advised that the bill would be significant and suggested we claim through travel insurance. Strangely, he attributed the incident to dehydration—something we strongly disagree with, as both our children stay well-hydrated and have never experienced such symptoms on any previous holidays. Although our son was eventually cleared to leave after 5mins tops, the admin process took over an hour in filling out forms and speaking to the insurance. Hotel security later requested to inspect the area and complete an incident report. A few days later, the report concluded there were “no issues” and again blamed dehydration, refusing to acknowledge the physical hazard posed by the padlock. We later consulted a doctor friend back home who confirmed that a hard knock to the knee could absolutely cause dizziness and concussion—exactly what our son exper

Viva Miches da evitare tassativamente. Intanto si trova a nord, nell'oceano Atlantico, o meglio in una piccola baia chiusa, quindi l'acqua è torbida e stagnante. Sembra di essere in un lago. Inoltre, sulla spiaggia che dovrebbe essere privata ci sono cani randagi e un gattile all'interno della struttura. Segnalato al responsabile, visto la pericolosità di un morso in un cane randagio in Repubblica Domenicana, la resposta è stata "C'è il nostro medico, pagando una franchigia di € 100!". Il cibo è scadentissimo e c'è una sporcizia, legata anche alla maleducazione della maggior parte degli ospiti (pezzi di pizza lasciati sui lettini, bicchieri sporchi ovunque, anche nei bagni). DA EVITARE. La cosa più assurda è che pur di vendere questa struttura, ti dicono che il mare è bellissimo anche davanti all'evidenza: colore del mare è MARRONE

Las atenciones de primera, la cena en Atlantis y Mediterránea exquisitas.. excelentes habitaciones. Las habitaciones muy confortables y el equipo de animación incansables 😍😍

Muy buena experiencia, comida muy rica y excelente atencion por parte del personal. Animadores Kevin y Luis muy amables y divertidos. Lo que muchos opinan sobre el agua para beber, hay disponible en cada habitacion una botella de vidrio para recargar en los dispensers que hay en los pasillos de las habitaciones.
