Condesa Haus Rentals arvostelua

I have to start with the problem: the rooms did not have potable water in the plumbing. There was potable water in a large container in the kitchen area but not even a separate container in the bathroom. We have stayed in Condesa several times in similar accommodations and for similar costs and have never been told the water wasn't potable. We should have been informed and/or they should have offered us a discount if this was an unexpected problem. While Fernando was helpful and the place was clean, it is unacceptable to advertise this as a fully functioning apartment.

Excellent guest house in wonderful neighborhood I highly recommend this guest house. It is a beautiful and fully in tact example of the historic architecture of Condesa and has been sensitively converted without any major alterations to its character. The staff are friendly and helpful. My room faced a quiet street and had a large balcony with nice seating -- there was a separate balcony with French doors overlooking the lobby. I appreciated the tasteful and comfortable contemporary furniture, which contrasts in a nice way with the restored building. It's in a very safe area and just a few minute's walk to the elliptical street called the Amsterdam, and just beyond it, the Parque Mexico, which is stunningly beautiful. Everything about this guest house was excellent. I hope to stay here again!

It was lovely. The rooms were comfortable, staff was great and breakfast was tasty. BUT, What have they done to this place in the last 6 months? They redecorated and made the historic rooms into apartments. It looks awful. I wouldn’t stay there now.

Weeks later and we are still smiling and joyfully reminiscing about our time in Condesa Haus. As an expat who grew up in Mexico City, this is the true, authentic Mexico. Beautiful rooms (BEST sleep of my life), attentive and knowledgeable staff, prime location (walking distance to soo many top eateries and shops), all located on the most peaceful, magical street. We especially loved the private rooftop retreat. Cannot wait to come back for a long term stay in one of the apartment style penthouse units!

I recommend Condesa Haus! Our two rooms were comfortable, clean, and quiet, despite one facing the street. The location is excellent, on a quiet side street but near restaurants, cafes, and parks. The building is beautiful and is a wonderful way to have a peek inside one of the charming 1920s and 1930s buildings of the Condesa neighborhood. The breakfast was tasty and Fernando's restaurant suggestion was inexpensive and delicious. If you expect a large traditional hotel you won't like it, but if you want to stay in a beautiful historical building in a great neighborhood with comfortable, clean and pretty rooms, you will be very happy. I would gladly stay at Condesa Haus again.

When we were searching for a place to stay there were so many options that it was hard to decide. We went with our gut and glad we did. Fernando, the owner and host, is a gracious man who respects and takes care of his guests. He is always available, is full of knowledge about this amazing city, and creates a warm environment. The rooms are fun, priced right, and very clean, with daily housecleaning. Breakfast is delicious and included in the price. The neighborhood is safe, tree-lined and quiet. We'll go back.

This is a sweet colonial, heritage villa place. Loved the big bed in my room. We only had two days in Mexico City and staying in La Condesa neighbourhood was great! Very funky and we (as two boomer females) felt very safe wandering around everywhere….a nice evening stroll. The area was very quiet. The house manager was very helpful to us. This place has a system whereby you advise the manager when you’ll be arriving and he comes to meet you…ie) no front desk staff. This worked seamlessly for us and when I accidentally locked myself out of my room the manager attended the location straight away and helped me back into my room. He was very pleasant. Breakfast was lovely. Thanks again….we recommend you stay.

A lovely intimate spot in La Condesa. The neighborhood was quiet. My room was as described, comfortable bed, great old claw foot tub as well as a separate shower. There was a small heater as well as a fan. This is a great spot for exploring this part of the city and an Uber can take you anywhere else . Nice to have breakfast in the am . We were able to leave our bags there after check out which was great !

the owner and staff were very nice and helpful during our stay at CH. I will stay here again!
