The St. Regis Mexico City

We spent the weekend at The St. Regis Mexico City and I can honestly say the service made all the difference. From the moment we walked in, every single person we encountered was gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. It wasn’t just polished hospitality—it felt personal, and that’s rare. The hotel itself is elegant and welcoming, with plenty of thoughtful details that elevate the experience. We especially enjoyed how attentive everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and made us feel at home. That said, if I’m being honest, it’s starting to show its age a little and could use a refresh to match the overall standard of the property. Still, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed being there. Also, the gym could use a bit of sprucing up, there are not many options for us fitness enthusiasts :-). Overall, it was a wonderful, no, AMAZING stay, and we left feeling very well taken care of. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

Hace un año visite el hotel y tras varios incidentes de mal servicio, para tratar de recuperar mi confianza en la marca decidieron extenderme un certificado por dos noches de estancia, decidí cambiarlo y después de un proceso molesto, largo y complicado su respuesta fue no hay disponibilidad, el proceso de los certificados de regalo no debiera ser así en mi opinión, pero después de estar en el hotel no me sorprende la poca atención en el servicio, sin embargo esto no es lo grave , lo grave es que buscando otras opciones de hospedaje para mi viaje encontré amplia disponibilidad en su hotel, en al menos un sitio de internet ! Decepcionante por decir lo menos triste que realicen este tipo de engaños

From the moment you enter ST REGIS MEX DF- you are taken to another level of service! The concierge went above & beyond for me. My Flight was delayed and a family member was left at DF airport alone. I called and concierge- they handled it all, and sent car service for her. She was cared for at property and even Fed before I even checked in to the hotel. No issues at all. WOW. The Staff go out of their way to make guests feel like Royalty. We had daily coffee (private butler) delivered to our rooms. My butler was awesome and offered tips on getting around. The drinks at the Bar are wonderful and great quality (Best Margarita). The rooms are GORGEOUS and rather large. My family of 4 were very comfortable in our room. Bathroom big and Shower pressure excellent. Concierge Team is (ALL of THEM) are excellent and I tipped them daily for their help. They made daily Dinner reservations for my Family and suggestions for sight seeing. They have the best Attitude and enjoy helping Guests. I HATED to leave the Property when we departed for Puebla. Juan Angel (General Mgr) super professional and runs a great Hotel in DF. I have travelled +40 countries and 1st time staying at a St Regis Property. This Property is perhaps the Best Luxury Hotel I have ever visited globally. Sincere thank you to Juan Angel and the wonderful caring staff @ ST REGIS MEX CITY! I will be back soon . This is the only hotel I will stay when visiting MEX CITY.

My experience of this stay was absolutely amazing, particularly because of the generosity and thoughtfulness from the staff at the St Regis! As soon as we arrived, everyone we came across was professional, yet warm and willing to extend their welcome with a little conversation, making you feel that they're happy to have you. Upon learning that we're celebrating a birthday the night before via email from the guest service, the hotel did not hesitate to make sure we are really celebrating. It was a truly pleasant surprise when we saw the gifts they left in our room. There was a nice cake and a written message, but I have never had balloons! Not to mention a bottle of sparkling wine to go with the delicious chocolate cake. Our butler soon arrived with another pour of Cava, and a gift for a complimentary spa service at the upper floor of the hotel. We could not be happier with this level of service, and they did make us feel very special! The location of the hotel is great, right on Paseo de la Reforma, the big treelined avenue, friendly for pedestrians, looks like half street half park. We walked a lot on it, often seeing people taking a break on the bench, or checking out street vendors that set up temporary shops there. For transportation, there is the 7 bus across the street from the hotel, taking you directly to Centro. Or walk 6-8 minutes to the Metro. You can use the same metro card for both, and one metro card can be shared with multiple people, very convenient. If you're there on a Sunday, don't miss out biking on Paseo de la Reforma right in front of the hotel. They close the entire avenue for people every Sunday. It's impressive to see the organization of this even for the mass amount of people having such a great time. Bring your passport to rent a free bike, where you can find rental booths along the avenue. There was one 2 minutes from the hotel. Go early or prepare for the long wait as you would have to wait for others to return the bikes so they become available to you. The condition of the bikes weren't great but good on the organization to provide it for free for everyone to enjoy. There is also HSBC docked bikes all around the city available for you to rent. But they stopped taking foreign credit card for payment on the phone app that you have to download and register. We could not use it. Our reservation was upgraded to a Grand King room. This hotel was build a while ago and the interior design feels mature and traditional. The beddings are comfortable, plenty of seating, everything you need is available. I think best to just let my photos show you. The spa is on the 15th floor. I was greeted with yet another very friendly staff, helping me choose a service. Then another staff took care of me and showed me around the waiting room and the changing room, and brought me a drink of my choice. It is with great sadness and disappointment I write this review. When I arrived to the hotel, I was greeted by an over zealous reception employee who assumed my daughter was not part of my reservation. This employee continued to remind me of my financial obligations to the hotel and insisted the only way for me to receive my room key is if I signed a form requiring me to pay an additional $75.00 a night. I continued to explain my reservations already included my daughter and was already paid for. The employee could have checked my reservations but instead insisted to welcome me in a loud and condescending manner. The next thing you should watch out for is sexism. My wife tried to inquire about various services and items needed and the person on the other end claimed not to understand her. I immediately picked up the phone to ask for the same things and they quickly acquiesced. Unfortunately housekeeping wasn’t that impressive either. On the last night they decided not to bother turning the room over as they had done the other night. Lastly, the hotel and rooms are dated as if from the 1980’s. The pictures on the website are far superior than reality at this hotel. Caveat Emptor or buyer be ware.
