Hotel Casa Cuenca

Really lovely hotel. Fantastic location in a very leafy safe area. The staff were friendly and great. Our room was above the (very nice) restaurant so there was a little bit of music noise till about 11 at the weekend. But I'm a really light sleeper and it didn't bother me at all. The area was really quiet. Lots of good restaurants and coffee shops. The nearest tube line was closed, due to open soon, but ubers are cheap and good. Breakfast was lovely fruit and a pastry and eggs. Fantastic location, great staff, very safe.

Best local experience with great design elements. Stay here if you want to have an authentic Mexico City experience. The rooms are beautiful and designed by local designers and feature a lot of designs that are all local. It's very stylish and romantic. The showers have the best water pressure I've ever had and often in Mexico this is a challenge. The best part is that everyone who works here is really passionate about Mexico City in about the hotel and they will take amazing care of you when you stay here.

First the hotel is stunning. You really feel like you have stepped into a piece of amazing modern Mexican design. Our room was beautiful and well thought out. It felt luxurious but didn't sacrifice function. (Think lots of well placed outlets for charging, generous storage for your things, good lighting.) We had the room with a private terrace, a tub and a rain shower (Terraza Tina room.) All of this is just the setting for the 5 star level service you get. Philipp, the manager, and his team (Sergio, Mario and Alma you are fantastic!) really set the standard for warm and personal attention. Before arriving, they helped arrange a tour to Teotihuacan and during our stay were full of great recommendations. Breakfast was included and delicious, and again the staff at Maleza were top notch. Israel, one of the waiters, found out I didn’t eat eggs and came out with a special, off the menu, avocado toast. Just one of the best hotel experiences ever.

During my stay, I experienced both the Grand Room and the Presidential Suite. Unfortunately, the Grand Room was extremely small and cramped for the price charged. The issues didn’t stop there: 1. Cleanliness and Pests: Spiders were found in the bathroom. Mosquitoes were everywhere. Housekeeping left doors open while cleaning, allowing pests to enter. 2. Room Comfort: The air conditioning was ineffective, making the room excessively cold and dry. These conditions caused discomfort, and I experienced nightly nosebleeds. 3. Service: While the staff were polite and friendly, they were often forgetful, requiring me to repeat requests multiple times. 4. Breakfast: The breakfast was adequate but unremarkable. Overall, the experience was disappointing and not worth the high price. There are far better options in Mexico City, and I would not recommend staying here.

ABSOLUTELY perfect. The room, the staff, the breakfast and the location. It's in Condesa but you can walk everywhere. Centro Historico (we did walk but you can Uber), Chapultepec, Amsterdam neighborhood, yummy restaurants - very central to walking or taking transportation. Breakfast was included and yummy - we never ate anywhere else. And they are opening a dinner restaurant shortly so we will need to return - we won't even look anywhere else.
