Best Western Plus Pastures Hotel

Friendly and helpful staff. Speedy service in both the restaurant and the pub. Nice and clean. Would benefit from a better coffee machine and electric car charging point.

Third time there. All the staff are wonderful & will do anything for you. Big shout to Michelle on the Hotel front desk. Lovely, friendly and helpful lady. Rooms are great the carvery at the pub opposite is fantastic. Well worth the drive from South Wales. We'll be seeing you all again soon

We were seduced into thinking this was going to be a very nice place as we entered from the country side, Mexborough has to be one of the least welcoming places we've ever been to. The staff here were lovely, food across the car park was nice, unfortunately a drunken lout in that bar ruined the evening for us, threatened myself, my husband and even our seven year old son, the staff across the way didn't seem to want to help even though they knew who this guy was, seems to be a normal occurrence. For future reference if you see a tanned, wrinkly faced older guy with curly hair and a scowl and about 5 teeth in his head steer clear, ***** or alcohol or both and he's a very violent character. Really let the experience down an awful lot. After Googling Mexborough it does seem like it's a very rough area so unfortunately we won't be returning. Staff in the actual hotel were lovely especially the older gentleman that evening that helped calm my terrified son down. Staff at the play place for children were all brilliant too. I just really feel like more could have been done by the bar staff. Room was nice and clean, shower was a bit weird and leaked everywhere, we had to use towels all over the bathroom floor and was told this room always does that. Room is sweltering at night even with the window open and also incredibly dark, lights have to be on from first thing in the morning.
