"This is undoubtedly one of the two best hotels we have ever stayed in and we are now 72 years old. We came here to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary and wanted somewhere special. It was certainly that and more!! It is impossible to find fault in anything. Finest cuisine (both in quality and range of choice), breakfasts to die for, exemplary service, welcoming and friendly staff who can’t do enough to help( nothing is too much trouble for them!) Excellent hotel location and masses to see and do in the vicinity - the use of the included Merano guest card is an absolute bonus for using public transport in the region. Can’t recommend highly enough and would love to return again in the future."

"Four days worked miracles! I was really able to chill out at this wonderful hotel that felt like home. Spotlessly clean, with a lovely pool in a beautifully-kept garden. Both the Golden Spa and the Reception team deserve a special mention: thank you to Antije and Lorena for their expertise and to the two Saras and the Fuflers' daughter for their kindness and insight! As for food, excellent breakfast and interesting dinner menu. I'll be' Jack forca visit, stay assured!"

"Comfortable stay. Beautiful old villa. Large room with private bathroom and balcony overlooking the river. Good breakfast. On site parking. Downside: wifi can be challenging, house needs some TLC (updates and repairs) . No A/C but we were here in October. Days were hot but room stayed cool. Might not be the case in July. Owner / manager was nice. Different sense of humor. Note: yes, they keep your passport overnight. Welcome to Italy."

"Erinomainen vierailu Mon- Fri, ylellinen sijainti. Jr Suite on upea näköala vuorille ja laaksolle. Isot ikkunat ja portaali olivat täydellisiä. Aamiainen oli poikkeuksellinen joka päivä. Pienet kosketukset kohteita jätetty käänteessä alas - joitakin makeita, kuivatut kukat - olivat kauniita. Kaunis uima-allas alue ja maaperät. Puutarhat hämmästyttävät. Se on arvokasta tehdä 20 minuutin kävely vesipudokseen. Erittäin rauhallinen sijainti huolellisesti henkilöstön kanssa. Korkeasti suositeltavaa."

Villa Bavaria

"A friend and I were traveling through the area and happened upon Villa Bavaria online. It seemed nice and affordable and we booked for three nights. We were so lucky to have found it. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The food was SO GOOD and affordable. I have Celiac disease and have to eat Gluten Free and they accommodated me above and beyond with baskets of gluten free snacks and bread each morning and a slightly modified menu at night. Breakfast was included and was a 5* buffet of fresh fruits, meats and cheese, amazing breads (for the non-Celiacs), cereals, yogurts, etc. Dinner, for 35 Euro was a five course menu and it was incredibly gourmet and beautiful. Honestly, for 35 Euro we didn't have super high expectations and we were blown away. The rooms were impeccable, large and some (mine!) air-conditioned. The views, stunning, the garden gorgeous and both pool areas were lovely. It felt like we were at a private Villa. The location is perfect as well. This hotel is a gem. I really can't say enough good about it. Made our trip!! We will be back!"
