La Bastide de Marie, Maisons et Hôtels Sibuet

Sadly this hotel has really deteriorated in service in the last five years and with their increased prices -we will not be returning. The rooms are tired now and do need to be revamped, the cleaning is lacking any attention to detail and is the bare minimum. Turn down is a cursory exchange, on many nights the rubbish was not removed, no new water, curtains not even closed, a drty phone remained for the week - not to mention them removing clothes from the bed or folding anything - it is the bare minimum! We had the same bath robes for our five nights here! Phone charging station- not a deal breaker but most upmarket hotels have these, if I need to charge my phone and need to use it at the same tome then I should be able to but I can’t here as the plugs are too Far apart. There are no luxury touches here, very basic amenities and the pillows have polyester filling, AC is extremely noisy and does not work very well. Around the hotel, the towels provided for sunbeds are threadbare. One day we removed the previous occupants water glasses and coffee cup, a staff member came and took the coffee cup and left the glasses which remained there the entire day. The pool is fairly unclean they should invest in a robot cleaner. Breakfast every day is a disaster, the staff on (apart from a senior staff) couldn’t care less. Once you sit down no one greets you to ask you what you would like to drink or how things work. It’s a small buffet and you feel like you are bothering staff every time you ask for something. The whole process is painful, can I order eggs or not, if you do you are made to feel inconvenient and what you end up receiving is so abysmal without any care. I asked for boiled eggs and they were raw. This happened two days in a row and you would expect they would be embarrassed but no not a thing just shrug shoulders. They are only interested in lunch and dinner. Lunch, we just did on one day. Service again painfully slow and like pulling teeth. Can we order water, nothing arrives. We waited 25 mins for drinks and our order to be taken, it’s just not acceptable. Tiny portions, asked for bread, yes but nothing arrived. Dinner, is excellent and I can’t fault it, most of the senior staff on seem to be trying hard and food was very good but maybe try and be a bit more welcoming or happy to see guests. I would also say they don’t seem to be too familiar with the half board concept and don’t really explain this to you properly. It is important to point out that this is our third time at this hotel and unfortunately we found the service in general to be on the whole pretty average, the staff seem alot younger and the service can come across as transactional. There were two staff that were not like this but unfortunately it’s not enough to carry everyone else. We witnessed one of the guys (blonde hair) be very rude about guests who had a mix up with their lunch booking, he would not let them have lunch. The whole thing was very bizarre, I think there

Très mauvaise expérience. Gens très peu soucieux du confort de leurs clients. On vous laisse déjeuner en plein soleil mi-juillet avec une température de 35 degrés et alors même que nous avions demandé à être bien à l'ombre. Des personnes de la tablée se sont réfugiées à l'intérieur pour échapper au soleil et ont fini leur repas seuls. Beau moment de convivialité ! Le personnel est narquois et affiche un sourire moqueur face à vos demandes. Manque total de respect et de professionnalisme. Pourtant c'est un hôtel 5 étoiles et le repas est à 75 Euros par personne hors boisson. On s'attendrait à plus d'attention et de respect. Lamentable. --

Sur le site des fermes de Marie à Menerbes nous avions trouvé dans offres et packages une soirée truffes tout compris nuit et dîner a 582€ le 1 novembre 2025 nous avons réservé pour cette soirée qu'elle ne fut pas notre surprise de recevoir une confirmation avec un devis à 832€!!!! Nous avons téléphoné de suite pensant à une erreur de leur part il nous a été expliqué que ce prix n'existait pas ou peut être les derniers jours avant le 1 novembre si le restau et hôtel n'a pas fait le plein... donc cette offre est une publicité mensongère que vous pouvez vérifier sur leur site ....

Beautiful and quiet, the grounds are spectacular, there are two pools one is heated, the room was small but pretty, no shower only a tub, we had the half board which included breakfast, an afternoon tea, and dinner of 3 courses appetizer, main and dessert, the only complaint was that we stayed 6 nights and the menu never changed they did offer a special every night but if you didn’t like the special then you had to repeat what you had tried already. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Sarah, Leaha, and Ernesto. The location is not only beautiful but very easy to get to the other little villages

Wonderful old Bastide nestled in vineyards. Expensive but worth every penny. Two beautiful pools, beautiful grounds and attentive service. Place looks a little rough around the edges on arrival, but that is the charm. Underneath, every need is met. Great restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff works at helping you find things to do, but that isn’t hard. Had a great time. No complaints.

Salle de bain impraticable à cause d’une odeur nauséabonde d’égout - salle de bain en pierre sans ouverture qui sent l’humidité et les égouts.. la chambre avec une forte odeur d’humidité.. petit déjeuner très moyen. Dîner très moyen et cher - service qui laisse à désirer- dès que j’ai demandé à changer de chambre, le manageur est venu à ma table du dîner me demander de régler mon séjour entier après le dîner devant tout le monde - et m’a donné une chambre beaucoup moins bien - cet endroit est à éviter à tout prix - je pense que des travaux bien fait aurait rendu les chambres et sdb en pierre beaucoup plus seines. En plus pour masquer l’odeur, du parfum dégoûtant partout- de plus, le vignoble est nouveau tout comme les voûtes de la cave à vin. Il y a forcément plus authentique non loin. J’avais été séduite par les photos du site et tellement déçue en y séjournant .
