Lake Como Hostel

View from hostel very nice and staff so kind

Um lugar muito calmo e acolhedor. O hostel fica em Menaggio, uma vila no Lago. Para chegar apenas de barco ou ônibus, então é bom se programar pra viagem, o barco custou 14€.

Désastreux. chambre minuscule. Le lavabo dans l'entrée. Matelas en mousse de 8 cm. pièce WC / douche exigu, espace entre le WC et la porte de douche étroit. Lit pas fait. Trous dans le drap de dessous et le drap de dessus. 1 seule petite serviette par personne. Volet roulant qui ne fonctionne pas et pour finir pas d'eau ni au robinet, ni à la doche. Nous avons dons fait appel par 2 fois au gérant pour constater et réparer. Le seul point positif est la vue sur le lac et proximité centre-ville. A fuir.....

Love this hostel!! Cheap drinks for Italy and cheap drinks 🥳🥳 Bedroom had great view, showers clean and bedroom clean. Happy hour on a Friday 10-11:30 which is fun and very socialble they have board games ect ! Would feel recommend for a good lake comp stay

Trattandosi di un ostello sapevo di non dover pretendere molto, e in effetti - avendo scelto una camera con bagno privato - ho trovato il minimo indispensabile, ma quello l'ho trovato tutto: doccia, wc, lavandino (nella camera), letti a castello ma con lenzuola e asciugamani già compresi nel prezzo, e un ventilatore perché il caldo oramai in agosto è veramente intollerabile. La colazione non è compresa nel prezzo, ma il bar interno offre il normale servizio bar (non ho capito perché le brioches non siano farcite: nessuna! lo staff offre di servirle con un "topping" di sciroppo piuttosto che di cioccolato, ma non ne vale la pena) anche con diverse combinazioni a formare dei "pacchetti". Abbiamo usufruito del ristorante interno, sia a cena sia a pranzo, e non posso dire che tutti i piatti siano cucinati in modo soddisfacente: bisogna scegliere. Comodo il parcheggio (gratuito) accanto alla struttura: seppur piccolo c'erano sempre dei posti liberi, forse perché non è immediatamente visibile dalle auto in transito. E veniamo alle eccellenze: uno staff straordinario per simpatia, accoglienza e assistenza; un ambiente giovanile e internazionale e una posizione molto interessante, vicino al centro e agli imbarchi. Sarebbe urgente dotare le camere di condizionatore, perché l'alternativa (da noi praticata) è tenere tutte le finestre spalancate tutta la notte, con il difetto che entra di tutto: insetti, rumori ecc.

Avoid this place at all costs! The rooms were filthy and the food was inedible, with a severe ant infestation everywhere. The hostel is in disrepair and does not resemble a youth hostel; instead, I had to share a room with multiple older men. Lockers are just bins under the beds, leading to my camera film, shirts, and shoes going missing. I left after one day and am still fighting for a refund. Stay away for your own safety and peace of mind!

This is a perfect base for exploring the Lake Como area. Hostel is quite full in summer so book well in advance. It was impossible for me to extend booking near the date. Beds were not very comfortable, and dormitories has many guests and are messy (although I guess it depends on the quality of the guests) but the good thing is thats its affordable. From here you can visit many nice villages on the lake, Menaggio, Bellagio and Varenna are doable in one day.

our stay in here is so good and comfy! the service is on top and the staffs are really nice to us. There is a bar & restaurant below where you can find cheap and tasty cuisines. They also give free breakfast which make this trip is so worth it. Will use this stay whenever im going to Lake Como again!

The room I occupied as a single with view of the lake was great. My remarks concern the poor quality of lunch and dinner. The risotto was bland and tasteless despite spoonfuls of parmesan cheese. It would have been easy to add some spices and pepper. The salad with its dressing of olive oil and vinegar from a sachet was not good. At dinner I had fish & soft chips, no cooked vegetables are available, only a salad. The potatoe chips should have been fried longer to make them crispy. Make melanzane parmigiani. The red wine offered gave me a stomache ache. By all means, stay, but eat elsewhere.
