Absolutely first class, Martin is such a good host with a good humour, we thoroughly enjoyed his company. The garden room,house and gardens were excellent. We had the continental breakfast which was very good …including Martins home made croissants or so he says jokingly. What a great base for exploring the borders.

Martin & Lorna do a great bed and breakfast. Welcoming, warm, and always helpful and attentive (without being in your face) they ensure a comfortable and easy stay. The breakfasts are lovely, the house is smart, and the room is comfortable. Will be recommending to friends and family

Didn't stay due to injury-unable to walk or drive. Were told if they could re sell the rooms paid for up front, we could get refund. When they appeared unavailable on website were told they had not re sold them yet, then shortly after that they had been delisted. It's either one or the other. If there had been misunderstanding,why not say so,and issue apology (however disingenuous or as formality)-. This is the bit my complaint is really about. Also told if we rebooked again they MAY offer a refund. If intending to do this ,why not be more definate?, Why not just be honest.?

We spent three nights here at the end of July and recommend the place highly.The location is in the tiny hamlet of Bemersyde. It seemed utterly quiet to me.The garden was lovely. Both rooms are away from the road as far as I can see. There seem to be only two rooms and a large sitting room. You will meet any fellow guests as the breakfast on weekdays is at 8pm. It is served at a very large table. On Saturday, slightly later there was a cooked breakfast . Both breakfasts are pleasant and ample. Mueseli,porridge, croissants, yoghourt and fruit were amply supplied.The beakfast room is quite impressive as a design.Martin the host was always attentive and helpful.It was a pleasure to meet him.

We booked last minute after a mix up on our previous accommodation and from the time of arriving to leaving we really enjoyed our stay. Every effort was made to ensure our comfort, from booking taxis, immaculately clean rooms and a fabulous breakfast. Thank you for rescuing our trip!

We stopped off here on our route south after being in the North of Scotland. Martin and Lorna gave us a lovely welcome when we arrived. We had a cup of tea sitting in their garden taking in the gorgeous far reaching views. The room was comfortable and well thought out. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful sitting round a big table in a hall like room with the other couple who had spent the night there. This is a B&B we would go out of our way to stay at again.
