When the waiter at the door asks if you want coffee and cake or lunch, be sure to choose lunch or dinner because restaurant is worth it. Warm and friendly service, delicious food. View and coolness on a hot day. Everything worked out. We had the vegan risotto which was absolutely delicious. The drunk mojito raised the taste experience to a new level.

Hotel is small but luxurious in finishes, everything you need is supplied in the rooms. Its location is perfect for exploring both Mdina and Rabat on foot. Food and beverage in onsite restaurant was great. Staff were very helpful and moved our luggage effortlessly

Sadly this review would be around three pages long if we summarised our visit. Ultimately it boils down to; -poor service -lack of communication amount the staff -dishonest pricing -doesn’t put the hotel customer first Room 8/10 would not recommend Agatha Location 10/10 Pool 6/10 overlooked by diners at lunch Service 2/10 Drink prices 4/10 - large beer €8 Food prices 8/10 - snack menu only is value- this is not offered to non hotel guests and price differs from the main menu for the same dish We had so many issues with our stay it became laughable by the end. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The pool area if you are choosing this hotel to sit by it please be aware it can be closed for a number of reasons and is on the patio where people eat lunches, which feels uncomfortable. We also stayed at the Gomerino in Valetta which was better value better service and will be where we return.

We recently stayed here for 5 nights with another couple and can highly recommend it. Right in the heart of the Mdina, very comfortable and quiet, super clean, extremely attentive, helpful and nice staff, plus a roof terrace restaurant and small dip swimming pool, perfect!

Passeggiando per le viuzze di Mdina in un caldo pomeriggio di giugno, eravamo alla ricerca di qualcosa di fresco e siamo capitati quasi per caso al Palazzo Bifora dove si vedeva che si poteva usufruire del servizio bar. Abbiamo preso solo una spremuta con acqua minerale e una birra ma l’impressione che ci hanno fatto sia il fascino del posto che l’impeccabile servizio è stata eccellente.

There’s lots to like about this hotel but you need a good room. Our first, room 1, had a couple of issues, the first could be resolved but the second was that the room is tiny. There is only a couple of feet around the bed so you can’t both move at the same time. There is no room for a chair. We were not happy and the manager moved us after our first night. What a difference! If we had started in this room then we really would call this hotel a hidden gem. It is beautifully restored and the staff are great. Breakfast was delicious too.

So when we arrived we sat inside it wasn’t busy so they took our order for food and drinks but the service was so long, I ordered the chicken and leek pie with wine and water, my friend ordered the same but asked about something on the menu they told her what is was and she said she’ll have one of each of the small pastries. The wine and small water took ages to come even though the guy and girl didn’t look busy, but the food took over 40 mins, which didn’t include nachos so my friend asked about the nachos and they bought them but she didn’t receive her pastries and the girl who took our order apologised over the communication and my friend didn’t get her pastries then they was an issue with the bill they charged us for 3 wine but we only had 2 they took that off and added us for a large water but I said I only had a small water which they corrected. We paid the bill but added a tip but we didn’t pay but left a 1 euro tip as the service was awful the food and drinks took so long and they kept getting our order/bill incorrect. When we went to the toilets downstairs as the restaurant is upstairs via a lift the manager asked us if we had paid we explained the situation and apologised and said the lady is an intern and the guy is new I said you have to be careful as it’s your business which will be affected but the food and drinks was amazing apart from poor service and issues with the bill.

Music often moves me; not many buildings do! The air, the space, the antiquity, the attention to detail here, all gave me a lump in my throat. Standing in the elegant reception area, I noted every single person who came in scanned the room and mouthed “Lovely!” Staff and… Well, everything is immaculate. Do visit, even just for coffee. You’ll end up wanting to stay here.

Stavamo cercando un posto per ripararci dal freddo e dal vento per un piccolo break di pranzo veloce. Abbiamo trovato una struttura bellissima che si è rivelata per come è appena siamo entrati. Il sig Ferrando Borg, general manager del hotel, ci ha subito accolto prodigandosi per trovarci un posto al tavolo. Senza prenotazione abbiamo avuto a disposizione un tavolo al primo piano con vista su un giardino interno. Servizio curato e veloce, cibo squisito (in particolare i dolci fatti in casa sono veramente notevoli). Prezzo più che corretto per questa bellissima struttura che ho provato solo per la parte ristorazione. Mi piacerebbe usare anche il servizio alberghiero. Bravi!
