"Our experience was magnificent. We are a vegan couple and the restaurant staff really went out of their way to satisfy our every need. The welcome, from check-in to the last day of our stay, was the best we had ever received. Big smiles and really good manners. The room was as great. The towels smelled of laundry softener and the room was always very clean. The hotel is beautiful with its enchanting garden of cactus plants of all species and a view of the desert and barren mountains. In short, a really good hotel to recommend without doubt to everyone."

"When we got to the hotel we were greeted at reception by a very friendly man, he was great with the kids and we were given a glass of Prosecco, the foyer looked great with the waterfall, it seemed like a lovely hotel but it went down hill from there. I’ll start with the restaurant - The staff are extremely miserable, you can’t help yourself to coke, Fanta etc you have to wait for them to come and take your order. You’ll be waiting all night if you don’t call one over to ask for a drink yourself. One waitress that was cleaning up consistently told me to “move” when getting juice or ice cream for my 5 year old daughter. Instead of just waiting for me to finish.. she would demand I move to clean, very bluntly. On the first night in the restaurant I wore a sleeveless Tshirt, not a vest.. it completely covered my shoulders. A member of staff come to the table, in-front of my children and misses and in-front of other tourists and demanded I leave the restaurant because of my sleeveless tshirt. I looked around and there were more than 20 people women wearing string vests, crop tops, vests, dresses with their shoulders showing.. but I had to leave because I was wearing a sleeveless tshirt. I spoke to the woman that was meant to deal with issues, very rude woman. She basically told me that’s the rules, and compared the situation to men being aloud to walk around the pool topless but women aren’t. She told me men had to be smartly dressed but there was no dress code for women. Multiple times throughout the week I saw men walking around the restaurant in the evening wearing hoodies and sports tops.. nothing at all said them. They way they spoke to me and the way I was treated was disgusting for a paying customer. The food is very bland and basic, it was more or less the same every day. We went to the Mexican restaurant one night which is just the pool bar.. but the male waiter (balled man with glasses) was great.. great service, smiled throughout.. not faults there. The room - We got there on the Wednesday night.. we were still using the same dirty towels on the Saturday. The cleaners would just fold them and put them back (which I think disgusting) one of the towels was covered in holes.. this is what made me realise the towels weren’t being changed at first. On the Saturday I put the towels in the shower in a ball in order to get new towels. The door handle for the toilet broke (not the first time as I could see multiple screw holes in the door where they’ve attempted to fix it) i reported it straight away.. 5 days later, still no fix. Every time a cleaner come to our room the key card reader in the door would reset and lock us out.. we had to go to reception every single day for a new card key. The cleaners.. didn’t clean. The floors were filthy after they’d been. I’m pretty sure the bed sheets weren’t changed the whole time we were there. "Meillä on ollut paras aika Shambhalassa. Se on hiljaisessa paikassa niin auton vuokraus suositeltu, mutta vain 15-20 minuuttia baareihin/restaurantteihin jne. niin suuri tukikohta. Gloria oli hämmästyttävä ja niin hyödyllinen! aamiainen oli täydellinen meille, ja huone kaunis - super tyylikäs! Meillä oli jacuzzi ja kattoterassi, joka oli vain paras aurinkokylpy ja jossa oli jonkinlainen yksityisyys. Oli paljon perheitä siellä, mutta hotelli oli edelleen rauhallinen, joten huolehtii kaikille. Me varmasti palaamme!"

"I must start with, how lovely, and friendly, the staff are at this hotel, they go above and beyond so you have a restful stay! The cleaning staff are just amazing as the hotel is super clean; I loved to go back to my room at the end of the day, and it was all magically cleaned with the bed made, and smelling lovely. Yes, the location was a bit off for me, but I am walking with an aide, and a taxi is only €5 to the centre of town, so no biggie! The beach is non existent, there is no entry into the sea, except for steps which, I heard were very slippery, this did not affect my stay as I couldn’t go to a beach anyway. The rooms are very spacious and airy, the bed was fabulous, so big and comfortable; though the decor is a tad dark, and dated, in places, for me, but that is my personal choice, and I’m not taking anything away from the hotel as it is immaculate. The food is good, I had no problem at all in booking into the many different restaurants, I enjoyed Nebbiolo, their staff were lovely and kind, I also enjoyed the Seaside Grill, we had our lunch there everyday, and still never managed to finish my plate of food (large portions), I enjoyed the other restaurants too, the main buffet restaurant is of a good standard, there is some really nice food in there. I think this hotel is value for money with the AI plus package, it is worth the extra, if you had to pay them prices everyday, your money would soon dwindle, for all you receive. You can order food to your room for a €10 supplement, if you can’t be bothered or can’t go out for any reason, food was ok, you can ask for an iron and ironing board at no extra charge. Just one little niggle, the atmosphere is a little off for me, but I enjoyed myself all the same, I like it just a tad more lively; but it wouldn’t put me off staying here again, as I have said, some people like to wind down! If you are wanting to kick back and chill out, then this hotel is for you. The pool area is beautiful, but does need a little revamp ie. missing tiles in the pool, but I don’t know how they would rectify this as the hotel is always full. They are quite strict at reserving sun-beds too, which is a good thing, I never had a problem getting a bed. It is a beautifully quiet hotel at night, no rowdy guests, I never heard anything. No negativity from me, I had a great time. All in all, I think I will return to this hotel at some point, hopefully!! A big thank you to all the many staff who made my holiday one to remember, THANK YOU!!"
