Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius

Superb service by the staff of Maritim for my cousin's wedding event. Special thanks to banquette assistant Melina and her colleagues. Big thanks for excellent service and warm welcome. Highly recommend the banquette team of Melina and colleagues.

Stayed for two weeks from January to February, and what a lovely hotel. Checking in after a 12 hour flight was a bit of a faff unfortunately. A paper copy of our booking was required, we were able to email it to them in the end. I refuse to print off pointless pieces of paper nowadays. Our room was very large and comfortable, I particularly liked the sliding partician around the bathroom, it really gave a sense of space and added light. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very peacefully. I must say, i found the aircon to be amazing, possibly the best ive ever encountered. Our view, and room location was great. The AI mini bar offering was disappointing. No sugar free drinks such as diet coke and beer chargeable. Snacks, crisps and wafer biscuits both chargeable. The grounds are beautiful, especially the walk, or buggy ride up to the farm and ruins. We visited the farm to see the wonderful giant tortoise, we always visit some in Mauritius. The ruins are well worth a visit. The area and the buildings of the fine dining restaurants are very lovely. The staff at Maratim were so friendly and welcoming, and made our stay so much better for it. We booked all inclusive as my husband can try new thingswithoutworrying (fussy eater). Unfortunately, we did find the rules a tad restrictive and confusing at times.There seemed to be one meat, a veg, a vegan option on most menus for AI, too restrictive for us. You could pay extra, but again, a faff .All other hotels in Mauritius that we've stayed at have had very few , and easy to follow restrictions which we prefer. We don't generally eat 3 meals a day, and I'm afraid this could turn us off returning. We ate mostly at the buffet Belle Vue. Wow!!!! Firstly, it's the only buffet restaurant that I've been to where it didn't have a 'canteen ' feeling. The lighting was ambient and the restaurant comfortable. Secondly, the food area is separated by glass and very well air conditioned which we loved, especially for cooling off lol. I love a buffet, but the food choices and presentation here was the best I've experienced anywhere. Healthy, delicious, varied, and the meat was of very good quality. My husband enjoyed curries and beautifully spiced foods that he's never enjoyed before. Well done all staff involved, truly. We ate a few times at La Maree. The food was nice, but one waiter was quite rude to our friend which was disappointing. It also got confusing as we ate there more than our alloted 'one visit per week'. It wasn't helped by inviting some friends along from outside, and others weren't on AI. We were advised to book as there were 7 of us, but the booking was unknown on arrival. The staff were overwhelmed, but the 2 ladies who mostly served us turned it around and were charming too, thank you. We only ate once at Filaos. It was OK for a beach bbq, nothing great and a limited choice of salad. We mostly used Quarterdeck bar during the day and evening. The staff were lovely , e

Superbe hôtel avec un emplacement au top avec la baie au tortue réserve naturelle avec de magnifique poissons pour le snorkeling Une animation vraiment bien orchestré par le kappa club un personnel serviable , au petit soin pour sa clientèle avec beaucoup d’humour . MERCI à Junior Marcello et sans oublier Emilio Les restaurants ou le buffet sont très diversifiés avec un large choix pour tout les goûts . Un magnifique voyage à faire en famille ou en couple .

Hôtel juste superbe qualité de repas très bien chambre propre et le Spa exceptionnel et animations lapa au top merci à Marcelo Junior et Emilio pour votre sympathie ne changer rien. Des vacances exceptionnels les îles sont top le repas chez Magali carrément cool encore un grand merci

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au Maritim. Les plus : Le personnel aux petit soins pour nous. Un immense merci à eux. La chambre, grande, très belle et bien équipée. Merci à Manoj et merci pour le ménage à Ramsing et Suresh. L'accueil avec Kavita toujours aussi exceptionnelle. La réception où tout le monde est sympathique et efficace. Les bars. Au Quater Deck, merci à Fabrice et à Dylan. Nous avons toujours été servis rapidement et correctement. Merci à Naresh à la Marée. On apprécie sa compétence, sa gentillesse et sa bonne humeur. Le restaurant La Marée. C'est vraiment le point fort de cet hôtel. Nourriture excellente, bravo chef Soubash et merci à son équipe. Service au top grâce à Ishwaree, Sarita, Rakesh, Avinash, Ashi. Ils ont de nouveaux uniformes beaucoup trop chauds. Le service de plage. Malgré un manque de personnel cruel, Bachoo, Jay, Dinesh et Swadesh font de leur mieux pour satisfaire les clients. Un grand merci et un grand bravo à eux. Point très positif, il y a beaucoup de transats sur la plage et on trouve toujours de la place. Food and Beverage, un immense merci à MIthun, Deven et Kumar. Le Mont Désir : toujours aussi bien. Les moins : Ils expliquent ma note de 4 Le all inclusive. Choix très réduit, une feuille recto-verso pour les restaurants. Si vous venez une semaine c'est OK, si vous venez 3 semaines ça ne va pas. Ce changement est inacceptable. On déplore de pouvoir aller qu'une fois par semaine dans chaque restaurant. C'est trop peu. Le restaurant Belle-Vue. Qualité du buffet en baisse. Manque de personnel. Il faut débarrasser soi-même ses assiettes ( A quand le self-service ?). La Banyan. Vraiment trop peu de choix dans le all inclusive. Dommage car c'est bon. Anno. Restaurant payant. On y mange mal. Il y a urgence à changer enfin la carte. Les équipages sur la plage. Le Maritim est dorénavant un hôtel pour les équipages de plusieurs compagnies. Très souvent, ils font du bruit sur la plage, boivent plus que de raison et manquent de respect envers le personnel. Il faudrait leur réserver le bout de la plage afin de laisser se reposer les vacanciers qui souhaitent du calme. C'est un gros point noir. La tendance de l'hôtel à devenir un club et plus un 5 étoiles. Des touristes torse nu ou en maillot de bain au Quater Deck. Ils dégoulinent d'eau et s'assoient sur les coussins des sièges !!! Tenues débraillées le soir au restaurant principal. Pourtant, il y a des règles vestimentaires que des personnes ne respectent pas. Nous payons le prix d'un 5 étoiles mais on se croirait dorénavant dans un club. Il faudrait clairement expliquer les règles à l'arrivée et les afficher à l'entrée des restaurants Il serait opportun de renforcer la sécurité sur la plage les week-end et jours fériés. En résumé, tout pourrait être parfait mais il y a des choses à revoir. Il y a un manque cruel de personnel et de surcroît de personnel qualifié.
