Castle Green Bed and Breakfast

Couldn't have been happier with our second stay at Castle Green. It's an exceptional bed and breakfast ith and impeccable host. The rooms are spacious and very clean and cosy. The bed in our room was remarkably comfortable and we slept like proverbial logs. The bathroom was also of a high standard, large rainfall shower and fresh soft towels. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful and cooked to perfection. Lovely ingredients and made with care. Loved our stays from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Back home for about an hour and had to write this review. Stayed for 2 nights at Castle Green, and have nothing but praise for it. Where to start? The house is in a good location, tucked away but only a short walk from the town. Ample parking and a very warm welcome made a great first impression. Key to front door and room in hand we went upstairs. Beautifully appointed home and room, and a lovely view from our window. Surely there had to be a catch! The room was spotless, and everything looked brand new. The bed was comfortable and towels were clean, soft and plentiful. The hosts even gave us recommendations for places to eat, and routes to take to avoid traffic bottlenecks! We ate out and walked back to the house - and so to bed. After a quiet comfortable night we were still waiting for the catch… surely it would be breakfast. No. Food was excellent, with plenty of choice of good quality ingredients. The hosts were always available but never intrusive. We never did find a catch. We would return in a heartbeat and thoroughly recommend Castle Green.

Absolutely brilliant place to stay. Would highly recommend as one of the best bed and breakfasts we’ve stayed in. As soon as Janet greeted us we knew it was something special. Great room and amazing breakfast. We visited Crich Tranway Village which was a very good day out and well worth it. Thank you Janet and John.
