Overall we had an enjoyable 7 day break, mainly to get away for some winter sun. The hotel is good value for money, this is our 3rd consecutive year. We always found something to eat. Evening entertainment was better than previous years. Only bugbear is having alcoholic drinks in paper cups!

We have just had 10 nights at the Dunas Mirador Hotel , Our first impressions were very good the hotel was spotlessly clean . We were in block A on the 4th floor there was a lift when you got to the block Which was constantly breaking down so most mornings we were doing battle with the cleaning maids to use the service elevator there was however 3 flights of steps to get to the block . We returned to reception to ask if there was a lift to the block to be told No , then we asked if there was a porter to help us with our luggage to be told once again No . So we started struggling with our luggage up the stairs fortunately a younger more fitter guest of the hotel helped us with our luggage . Our rooms overlooked the front of the hotel onto the road which provided us with a lovely sunrise every morning and the traffic was not to noisy . The rooms were very clean and bright very strong power shower and the beds comfortable . There was a fridge and you could hire a safe , the problem with the room was unless you upgrade you only get tea , coffee and milk for the first day and the flex from the kettle did not reach the nearest socket !!!! so I had to put put the kettle on the floor to use . My advice is to take your own tea and coffee and buy your milk locally (there is an Aldi next door ) also take a teaspoon as for some reason they dont provide them . The pool bar (which is the only bar by the way ) gets very busy at night when the entertainment is on and they cram so many tables and chairs in its very difficult to negotiate . The lager is Amstel which was good and you are able to pull your own pint and the sangria was good , however the local spirits used for the cocktails were not very good at all . (Must have been the worst Pina Colada I have ever tasted ) . The restaurant I think needed some background music because all you can hear was a drone of voices and sometimes a cheer when someone dropped a plate . (it all seemed like a school canteen atmosphere ) Another strange thing was cutlery was laid out for breakfast a knife and fork but no spoon for cereal !!!! . All in All the food was very good lots of choice for all nationalities . Dont be put off by this review the hotel just needs a bit of an overhaul here and there .

Me ha encantado todo, las actividades han sido super entretenidas, el trato super bueno, la habitacion estuvo muy limpia y nos gusto mucho la sorpresa que nos pusieron en la habitacion para la luna de miel con los cuatro chocolates y la tarjetita

First time in Gran Canaria would like to say the AI meals were all different on each occasion lots of lovely choices always being filled, though at sometimes a bit hectic trying to get a seat, asked to make a reservation but this was declined would have been nice on our last night for our wedding anniversary. Maybe they should have a staggered schedule to prevent this just a suggestion The meals were warm though there was a microwave to heat them up if needed. The bar staff were excellent always pleasant though I would have preferred not to drink my drink in the evening using a plastic cup due to running out of proper glasses The entertainment team were good throughout the day and evening lots of different acts on in the evening during out 11 night stay. We had one evening of rain, so we had our evening in the disco area what a good evening entertainment Would also like to thank the cleaning lady for keeping our room clean changing our sheets and towels regularly My only gripe was our room D108 which was a family room it was very close to the bar, we never received any sun on our terrace due to a large tree blocking it, also it was noisy first the in the morning with the cleaning staff and late on into the early hours of the morning I did email the hotel to ask for a change of room but im still waiting on a reply I should have gone to the reception but thought the email would be sufficient. Also fabulous they run a shuttle bus to the beach and back every day for free. We will definitely return to the hotel but definitely not book room D108 Despite my gripe we had a fabulous holiday

Really impressed! As a first holiday without parents, 6 of us stayed for 7 nights and had a great time. Lots of food and drink options at the buffet restaurant with some basic beer and wine on tap to help yourselves!Staff were lovely, entertainment staff are especially amazing. So fun and bubbly, providing lots of games everyday and every evening. The poolside bar had burgers, salad, chips and ice cream. There was a good selection of cocktails and drinks to order from the bar as well as soft drinks, coffee and juice to help yourself. Good amount of sun loungers so we didn’t have to do the 6am race! Our rooms were cleaned everyday with our towels and bedding being replaced. Ceiling fan and air conditioning in the room and beds were comfy as well. Receptionists were very helpful during both check in and the rest of our stay. We could order a taxi through reception and by the time we got outside it was already there which was really helpful. As well as a free bus down to the beach. Overall we had a great time and highly recommend!
