I have stayed at every Extended Stay property in the St. Louis area over the last several months. I have always been more than satisfied with each property and I have even left positive reviews. Until I stayed at this property. I usually travel with my son just to get away from the house and it gives us both a chance to catch up on school work. When we arrived for our stay at this location, the front desk agent asked for ID's for myself and my son. I am accustomed to presenting my ID when we check in, but we have never been asked for his as well. When I explained to the agent that my son didn't bring an ID with him, and we have never been asked for his ID at any Extended Stay property before, the agent refused to allow to check in. Since I booked the room through *******, my only option was to contact them. The ******* agent contacted the front desk agent to try and get her to allow us to check in, but again she refused. My only option at this point was to cancel my reservation and wait 7 days for a refund. I left the hotel extremely frustrated and decided I wasn't going to let them interrupt my plans, so we went back and told the agent my son was 17. At first she wasn't going to allow us to check in, but after more pleading on my part, she allowed us to check in. This property was full filthy, did not have any dishes for us to use, and did not have the breakfast like the other Extended Stay locations do. I won't book this location again.
