DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE – NEEDS SERIOUS IMPROVEMENT Upon arrival, the hotel looked lovely, with well-maintained grounds that gave us high expectations. However, our experience quickly took a turn. At check-in (midday), we were asked to pay a tourist tax and complete a form that required excessive personal details—name, address, passport number, job, phone number, and email. After filling it out, we were then told we didn’t need to be so detailed, which felt unnecessary and frustrating. Since check-in wasn’t available until 3 PM, we left our luggage with the friendly and welcoming baggage handler. We were given our all-inclusive wristbands and encouraged to explore the hotel. However, without a map or any guidance, we aimlessly wandered around feeling lost and just sat at the pool bar. Fortunately we were finally shown to our room at 2pm earlier than expected. Before being shown to our room we received a little tour which showed the basic but wasn't detailed at all. ROOM & FACILITIES The room itself was disappointing—3-star quality at best. The decor was outdated, the shower was covered in mold around the edges, and the terracotta cups by the sink had visible ash embedded in them, making it clear they had been used as ashtrays. The toilet shifted downward when sat on, and the bidet trickled so weakly it was unusable. The balcony was barely usable because the table was too large, taking up most of the space. It felt cramped and impractical. One positive was the bed—I enjoyed a good night’s sleep every night as they were comfortable and well-made. Another frustrating issue was that we were not informed about the checkout time. We had to find this out from other guests, which is something that should have been communicated at check-in. One of the biggest letdowns was the spa and indoor pool, both of which required an extra charge—something we weren’t informed of beforehand. The "heated" indoor pool was reportedly freezing, and on a cold, rainy day, the hot tubs were unavailable. Yet, in the scorching heat, they could be hired for 20–30-minute sessions. When we inquired about using them, we were given no clear explanation as to why they were off-limits. We were not told where to get pool towels, and the outdoor pool was so cold it physically hurt—though I suppose that might be good for those with joint pain, as the numbness would block out the discomfort! The internet connection was strong and reliable, which was one of the few positives. SPA EXPERIENCE Two ladies at the hotel had booked this place specifically for spa treatments and massages. When they went for their treatment, they were forced to have their experiences separately, even though they had come together. It was only after one of them expressed dissatisfaction that the hotel offered them a complimentary spa day the next day, allowing them to enjoy the experience together. I had booked this hotel because I was interested in the hammam, but after everything we experienced,
