The staff who work at the villa try their best, but the male owner was unprofessional, and at times, what we as guests perceived to be threatening towards us. In addition, the electricity went out at times during our stay, and we were without any running water at all for one evening and most of the following day. Bearing in mind we were staying for two nights - all running water stopped at about 6pm on the Friday night, and then, when we left for an excursion at 1.50pm on Saturday, it was still not working. Thankfully, when we returned at 9pm that evening it had been restored. In the meantime, we were forced to flush toilets with water we took from the pool in large containers, and wash our hands with bottled water. We booked via an external platform (Vrbo) and the villa was advertised as providing a free breakfast, with us paying for any lunches, dinners or massages in cash in euros upon checkout. However, in the lead-up to the booking, the communication with the business was very poor - yes, there is a language barrier (we speak English, and they French) but they were not communicative, and did not respond to our messages that we sent over about our booking. We received a WhatsApp from Villa Atika, offering us a drinks package, at 15 euros per person 'all in'. I have attached this to my review - notably we were informed you were not permitted to bring your own soft drinks to the villa. We also had confirmation via email from the booking platform that the breakfast was included as part of the overall room rate. However, when it came to checkout, the male owner of the hotel demanded that we pay for the breakfast in cash. He also said that we need to pay 15 euros per person per day for the drinks package, rather than 15 euros per person for the duration of the stay, as had been stated in the WhatsApp. This was completely unreasonable, particularly as we had confirmation in writing that the breakfast was included as part of the nightly room rate. In addition, some of the drinks promised on the WhatsApp from the business were not provided - e.g. only red wine, no white, and not enough soft drinks for a group of 16 guests. Thankfully, this was later rectified by a member of staff at the villa after we complained. Naturally, at check out, we showed the owner the booking on Vrbo which said breakfast was included and the correspondence we had had over WhatsApp on the drinks package, and he said his business partner agreed this, and not him. Well, I am sorry, but when we receive communication from your business that says "we try to make it easier for you and us, to make a drinks package at 15 euros full all in, including water, sparkling water etc" you would mean full all in to not mean per person per stay. If this is what you meant, you should have stated it. It is not the problem of the guest if one business partner agrees something that the other business partner doesn't want. At this time, one of the members of our group, who spoke French, tri
