Riad Challa Hotel & Spa

The riad is absolutely gorgeous! We are just back from a girls trip and we absolutely enjoyed our stay! When you walk in you are greeted with the amazing architecture! I’m here to set the bad reviews straight as we absolutely loved it. It was such an authentic experience. Sure, as the riad is old doors can be creaky and you may hear some noise but this is the same for old riads in Marrakech. The location is perfect, 4 min walk to Dardar, 5 min walk to the medina, 8 min walk toLe Jardin, 10 min walk to Ben Youssef and 12 min walk to El Badi. Everything was in perfect walking distance so we walked everywhere! You are also just right next to Nobu, and as soon as you walk out the alleyway, you are straight to some souls and shops if you feel like a late night shopping and it’s perfectly safe! My only regret is not trying the hammam and spa as we had a busy itinerary but overall cannot fault this riad. The rooftop is gorgeous for a morning coffee! The staff truly made our stay extra special. On my last day I was feeling unwell, I had drank too much coffee and suffered a panic attack, the staff really took good care of me and calmed me down. Our room was cleaned everyday to perfection by the housekeepers. I really want to thank the 2 guys at reception and the amazing housekeepers who really made our stay exceptional. Our shower pressure was okay with hot water, aircon was cool so I really do not understand the bad reviews! We would definitely go back!

El lugar el bonito, el personal amable, buena ubicación, pero en nuestra habitación. no había ninguna banca, silla o lo que sea para dejar maletas, tuvimos que dejarlas en el suelo y así organizar nuestras cosas, eso creo que nos dejó una mala experiencia

I really enjoyed my stay at Riad Challa and appreciated the kind staff soooo much. I will definitely be back in 2025 :)

I loved that it was tucked away yet close to the market and public transportation. Very convenient and would stay again. Also the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Je ne peux que vous recommander ce Riad. Il est situé à proximité directe de tout ce que vous souhaitez visiter à Marrakech. Et par-dessus tout, le personnel est merveilleux ! Les chambres sont jolies et bien équipées et malgré la proximité de toute l’animation de la ville, le Riad est particulièrement calme.

Do not believe these positive feedbacks and comments! Staying at Riad Challa ist just annoying, disgusting and not human!!! Terrible service and disgusting hygiene! The bathroom/shower cabin does not work properly (look at the picture below)! We did not get any Bed covers and had to sleep in a cold room! Very impolite staff!!! Number 1 proof that these people here are scammers: They took the money in advance at the check- in, in a very unfriendly way! I assume they already know most of the people will not stay here long and therefore they want you to pay it in advance. The invoice you will get on your last day. Very shameful, shame on you Riad Challa!!! I hope for justice in this world and on the day of judgement! My general recommendation for all European Tourists who have europeean hygiene standards: Do not go to Riads in Marrakesch! Trust me, you don‘t need these old Riads to experience the culture in Marocco!
