Decent hotel, seems like it’s newly renovated so I’m guessing the bad reviews are from before the renovations. Glad I took the risk and booked it. Great location close restaurants the beach and a little shopping centre. Check out is a little too early though. Average good hotel would stay here again.

Place was terrible had freaking stinky roaches calling in the room and on weekends the place turns into a tavern for a place of the bar to bring their nightly friends to ***** on the beds. We left early before our stay was up just to get some sanity from this disgusting place.

Great location. But the hotel needs a little upgrade. It’s very outdated. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The food at Keg was very nice 😊

i did not expect anything much it was a random hotel on a way but they treated us like 5 stars service just truly amazing food fantastic quiet no noise comfy super comfy beds we slept so well n kids

Great experience, welcoming and friendly staff. Quick to repond and solve any issues. Cleaning staff doing great job. Will most definitely come back

Could be better The doors still uses the key not cards, as a female I just felt unsafe, the door kept making noise throughout the night, bathtub needs spray painting it’s not usable in its current state.

Subject: Margate Hotel accommodation Please note that I’m unhappy with the accommodation that was booked for my stay at Ray Nkonyeni The please noisy till late and also early in the morning There is also a pub and it’s in the noisy place of the town and there people moving in and out the Hotel till late The place is stuffy and not good for staff member NB. L***** advised that he has always advised he must not be booked at Margate hotel. I hope this place get blacklisted and its never used going forward

What a Nightmare!!!!! Beyond Disrespectful. It was Friday the 31st March 2023. The Radio was sooo loud from the Breakfast area, You were having a Function. We couldn't sleep with my family till 2:00 am the next day. How Horrible you guys have treated us. My Mom was just soooo frustrated. We could hear everything from our seafacing rooms. People walking Up and Down the Corridors. Causing Caos all over. Having Loud Conversations, Shouting at each other. No one was really monitoring them. No one cared.

Damp smell. Bathroom ceiling water leak. Cockroaches crawling. Checking in room delayed by approx. an hour. Extremely noisy guests after 10pm til late - nobody stopped them.

Majoituspaikan vastaus: Morning, I am very sorry to hear of your unacceptable experience at Margate hotel. We understand how important our guests holidays are after a busy year and we apologise for not meeting your expectations. I would like to assure you that we are fumigated every month by an accredited company however pest do fly into rooms at will which makes it very hard to control. I do acknowledge this is still not a please situation. Unfortunately we had torrential rain over the period you were with us and being a older building leaks are an ongoing issue. We are constantly water proofing problem areas within the building. Again we sincerely apologise for your poor experience.

The bathroom floor was dirty upon arrival. When we requested a cleaning with room service, everything was cleaned except for the bathroom we asked about earlier! The neighbours next door made noise until about 3am each night while sitting outside on our balcony It's an affordable place but not worth a hotel stay!

Wonderful Really appreciateed the fact that our fun was not interrupted by Loadshedding. A real big-up. And I've absolutely loved to come back into a cool room(air conditioner). Enjoyed the walking distance from&to the beach. Breakfast buffet was a kill-so glad I've included it on my booking.
