The Beetroot

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Was quirky and cool but nice as well. Easy booking and check in with good correspondence beforehand from the owner Paul (who was always on hand for a brief natter and to check everything was OK without being interfering) Location was excellent, just a few mins walk from the beach, lots of good bars + restaurants etc. Was a 10min walk to Dreamland which we were down there for a concert. Each room of the hotel was different, ours was split on 2 levels with the bed/TV, hanging space + shelves on the top level, downstairs was a very well equipped kitchen area and a bathroom which felt like an underground cave! Also, a lovely courtyard area where we sat each morning to have a cuppa in the sunshine, surrounded by fish pond, water feature, garden area with a wide variety of plants and flowers which attracted lots of butterflies. Lovely Well recommended, will definitely book again when we're in the area.

Lovely, quirky hotel. At the same time tasteful and nice. Great location in Old Town Margate, everything was just a few mins walk or less, shops, bars, beach, seafront. We stayed 3 nights and everything was perfect. Check in and communication from Paul the owner was very easy and efficient. Each room at the hotel is different, ours was split on 2 levels with the bed and hanging space upstairs. Downstairs was a well equipped kitchen and a nice cave-like bathroom with lovely powerful shower. The outside courtyard space was also pleasant, we had our morning cuppa out there each day along with the plants, butterflies, goldfish pond and trickling water feature. Perfect. We came for a concert at Dreamland, this was maybe 10min walk. Paul was always on hand to check everything was ok and a friendly chat without being interfering. 5* well recommended, will definitely book again whenever we're in the area.

Stay was fantastic. Paul made everything really easy and was an amazing host. Would highly recommend for a great location and a quiet secure stay in Margate.

The Beetroot was the best choice I could have made for a much needed, last minute solo getaway. Perfectly situated in a central but peaceful area of the Old Town, less than 5 minutes walk from the beach, with great places to eat and explore including the Turner Contemporary gallery and a plenty of vintage and artisan wear shops just a stones throw away. My room absolutely spot on, with a gloriously comfortable bed and pillows, fantastic shower and everything I needed along with easy access to come and go as I pleased. Paul is a wonderful host, so warm and welcoming and so helpful with bags and with tips on places to visit and eat. Communication was spot on and I'll be forever grateful for the few days I spent at this delightful spot. Hope to return again in the not too distant future!

The Beetroot is Great! Beautiful studio flat. Great location. Great interior decoration! heated floor. great host. Highly recommend.
