Edge of the Forest Motel

Could not rate more highly. Lovely place to stay. Great location. Owner was a wealth of knowledge about things to do in the area. Very clean and comfy. Also, Clover the dog made my day!

We booked a Family Room Room No 1 that come with 1 x king bed and 2 x single bed. Room is spacious, nice and clean. The beds are comfortable. However, we only stayed one night and could enjoy the room and surrounding much.

First class location for any trip to the Margaret River area. Great hospitality from the owner, Steve. Highly recommended .....................................................................................................

Steve runs the place and is the perfect host. Knows what the customer wants and knows Margaret River well and happy to advise. The room was well prepared and the bed was very comfortable. Motel is superbly located on edge of Margaret River town - a 10 minute walk. Steve recommended places to visit and eat and was right every time. Particularly the Brewhouse virtually next door for meals. We loved the place and would recommend it without reservation.

Great Manager close to town Manager at motel was fantastic he gave us a load of local knowledge on where to go and hints on good restaurants. Would stay here again if in area

On the Edge Edge of the Forest is also Edge of Margaret River so I think we were looking for something a bit more woodsy. The location is a convienant 10 minute walk to town and a brewery is about 75 meters away. Steve, our hosts, was awesome and mixed business with personal requirements perfectly. It is nice to see someone own a business but still able to put a sign on the door saying "Morning Sports with the Kids, back around 11" - it says something about the person. The room was small but cosy and the bed was extremely comfortable. There are some renovations going on so a bit of banging but that will be completed soonish. The garden you see in the picture was very nice along with a grill we cooked gorgious steaks on. No welcome gift and for being in wine country that was kinda odd but no points deducted since that is a bonus vice a requirement. I guess I was disappointed in the lack of open space and living amongst the trees. I mean - lots of trees. The setup was similar to a motel, but it was nicer than that, hard to explain. Overall, I'd give Edge of the Forest a 7.8 as I am a tough grader overall.
