Faro Blanco Resort & Yacht Club Marathon, Curio by Hilton

I'll start with the positives, the location, position by the sea, and the Marina are all fantastic. The bicycles floating about and the connection to the next door Marriott with hot tub and infinity pool which are super cool, was nice. However a few things really aggravated me, primarily the lack of trailer parking for a hotel that boasts a Marina, this is a huge hassle. We spent no less than two hours on the ride down calling storage units, the Elks club and a million other dead ends before finding SOS Storage, who was closed at 5 and weren't arriving until 10 pm. So this messes up the entire first day, and because of weather ends up being the ONLY offshore day, because we had to leave our fishing spot at 3 pm in order to rush back and move the trailer from the Faro Blanco parking lot, which was sparsely populated, to the Storage unit which turned out to be 5 miles down the other side of the island. The REAL pain though is there is enough parking here to park 20 trailers and no guests would bat an eye, the entire western side of the resort has parking that isn't filled up as well as the road side. To have a Marina and not have a convenient way to park your trailer is just unheard of, all up and down the Florida East and West Coast you can bring a boat and trailer and park your trailer on the grounds, I simply wont come here again because of what a hassle that was. Furthermore, the sterile, bean counter construction, positioned incredibly perfect next to this historic amazing Marina, built these rooms without balconies or even the ability to open the #$%^ window. What the actual $%&*, you think I came to the Florida keys to breathe in corporate air conditioner. It should be illegal to build down here without a balcony or at the very least be able to open a window. Food was good, better than most hotels nationwide, but it should be you're on vacation. The other thing they really missed out on is the Marina had tiny little ice bags 7 lb ers, and ZERO fishing gear or bait. Just like the whole place was designed by a bean counter ivy league dork instead of someone that actually enjoys fishing in the keys.

Beautiful location! Loved the relaxing area to sit and just chat and swing in hammock! Comfortable and clean rooms. Would definitely stay here again! Very friendly staff. Didn’t use either pool as it was a little too cold but they were very well-maintained.

Very nice facility, great views, great food I had the omlet and it was delicious and very filling. Our server, Frank was super helpful and welcoming! He really made sure to give us a great experience! Overall me and my girlfriend had a really great time with great and quality service and delicious food!
