Mangawhai Heads Holiday Park

Excellent camp site with clean, user friendly amenities and beach was so much fun for the kids. Great location close to shops and other activities. The sites were well located close to the beach with plenty of trees for shade. Bathrooms and showers all very clean and nice to use.

This was a great campground, perfect location, the facilities were beautiful and clean. We stayed a couple of nights in our caravan on the Northside at a powered site. Only issue we had was with our code to get in and out at times would not work so had to keep ringing reception to help us get through the gate. Other than this it was awesome.

We were fortunate to be allocated the front cabin which had the best view of the family cabins allowing our young kids to run around outside in the open grass. I'm guessing that this space is often filled with tents during the peak season. The cabin was clean and tidy although the fan on the third bunk and fan in the bathroom certainly need a cleaning. Luckily we only had two kids staying in the bunks so didn't need anyone to sleep on the very top bunk close to the incredibly dusty fan. Netflix was advertised in the cabin. However, we couldn't get it to work. We tried contacting the office although called just outside of the hours. No one checked in with us the next day to see if we still needed help connecting, so we were unable to enjoy this service.

My partner and I stayed at the campground for one night to celebrate my birthday. The staff was super accommodating with us since we could only get there afterhours. It was quite easy to find our parking with the map provided. The camp was not crowded and we had a lot of space on our self-contained van spot. Waking up to the Mangawhai dunes was amazing! The only downside for us was having to pay for the shower.

Wonderful camping ground, with beautiful views. Excellent spotless facilities. Friendly and helpful owners. We were there out of season and it was relatively quiet with only a few other campers, but we enjoyed chatting to them at the kitchen area. There are lovely tables up there for eating at too.

We loved this park and will come around again. The managers are lovely and made us feel like family. The toilets and kitchen areas were the cleanest we have ever seen and we loved the view from our Caravan. The park is really clean and staff so helpfull.
