Scottish Inns Manchester

Not a bad hotel, service was good, location also good, pet friendly but there is a deposit I was not aware of untill check in. Overall an ok hotel for the price

The Inn was easy to get off and on Interstate. You check in at window, No Lobby access. It has truck parking access for semis. I had room 113. It was not clean, bath tub had soap on it and hair. I had to get them to come in and clean it. Since the tub was not cleaned, that put me in the frame of mind that the rest of the room hadn’t been cleaned. Ruined my stay for sure. Of course when I got up in morning to shower, I had a cockroach in the tub. Definitely on my do not stay again list. Needed maintenance work done to facility.

THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was working at bonnaroo all 4 days and slept in my car for two of those nights and did not have any bites at all. I was fortunate to obtain a room for the last night. I went to my last day at bonnaroo to work and started getting large red painful/itchy bumps slowly showing up on my body through out the day. I thought they were spider bites or bug bits from sitting on the ground. They only showed up the last day I was there, which I had slept at the Scottish inn in Manchest, TN. My coworkers informed me they had experienced it before and it definitely looked like bed bugs... the room "looked" clean when you walked in and the smell wasn't horrible. Though I did lay a towel down on the bed and pillow, it moved around while I slept. After I finished working, I went straight to the hotel. It is owned by an indian couple and the wife came out and was initially polite and so was I. I said that I had slept in 213 and got bed bugs. She immediately got defensive and said she just finished cleaning the room (12 hours later) and that I didn't get them there. I then told her I had been sleeping in my car and didn't get the bites until immediately after sleeping at The Scottish inn in Manchester, TN. She continued to get defensive and rude so I started talking loudly so the people outside could hear. She kept looking outside hoping they weren't listening. I initially was not going to ask for my money back until the husband came out....mind you, this is during bonaroo 2 minutes from staff parking and he's charging $300 for 1 night in a horribly disgusting hotel. But he has a monopoly, so he can do that. The owner immediately got defensive and will not give me his information and keeps yelling at me and telling me to call the health department and maybe he'll give me my money back. I asked why they were being rude and they called me an a**hole and fat a**. I swear on everything in my life this is true. We then proceeded to argue and yell. They knew they were protected behind glass and a locked door so they could say whatever they like. They will most definitely continue to deny this and probably will switch out the mattress and clean the room before the health department gets there, but they are being called today.

This hotel is a last resort. The rooms reeked of **** and even had some reminisce left in the top drawer of the chest of drawers. The bathroom had a fan left running in it due to fixing the ceiling in the bathroom above the shower. Shower head only allowed water to come out hard and one stream like a water hose. Hard beds which my husband loves but no give at all. Did have cold air. It was definitely not worth $94 we paid. Not a good area of town either. One bonus is it is right beside OCharleys to eat and WalMart is across the street.

I wasn’t expecting a lot from this inn. It was fine for a one night stay. It did have a fridge and microwave. Definitely not clean all the way, but the beds were comfortable. I will say, be prepared for noise. I could here our neighbor doors and it would rattle ours. Also, the toilet handle was broken. If you are staying for one night, though, it isn’t awful.

Spend your money somewhere else. My room was $70 for the night. First room (107): the door stuck from both the outside and inside directions and did not like to open without a lot of force. It’s bolt did not want to latch. And the bathroom toilet was plugged. Went to the front desk and they moved us to an even worse room. The second room (106): the door bolt did not work at all and the door was missing half of the safety latch. Also, the light above the sink did not want to turn on, it just lit a little section of orange on the left side. There was no blanket on the bed, just a cover thing and no hair dryer. The only positives were that the sheets were clean, it had a mini-fridge, and it had pretty pictures on the wall. The “breakfast” was a dispenser with orange juice and apple juice that did not taste right, tea bags, coffee, hard as rock biscuits, and a couple small blueberry(?) muffins. On this trip I’ve stayed at hotels as cheap as $40 total and they were way better than this place. Don’t waste your money.
