Reserva Rotana Golf Resort

Not honestly sold On the plus side: The location is beautiful with open views across the countryside. The reception staff are willing, efficient, friendly and do their best in the face of quite a few challenges. The hotel is characterful. On the downside: It is not as advertised - if it was a product that we had bought we would have sent it back. We booked and paid for a hotel with a leisure centre and gym. It doesn't have either - no gym at all. We were promised fine dining - apparently it used to be, but it is far from that now, it has a casual cafe making pizzas and a few pasta meals which were ok for lunch. The kitchen is open so it is easy to see that these meals are not made fresh and are nowhere near fine dining. The hotel seems to be in the process of being run down with various aspects being left to poorly maintained. This was true in our room where half the lights didn't work, the taps had been replaced in the bathroom but leaving parts of the sink still with holes, the tennis court was far from the picture on the website - if it is not resurfaced in the next few months it will soon become unplayable. If the hotel was advertised accurately it may say 'charming, rustic, rural' but it should never say 5 star. We wrote to the hotel after our stay to invite their comment but they did not reply.

Best personnel across the Balearics! Fantastic, friendly staff - keep treating them well!

Nous sommes restés une semaine dans cet hôtel dans la suite Numéro 1; Vous y trouverez le charme de l’Espagne et le calme. Les différentes bâtisses qui forment l’hôtel sont historiques et pleines de charme. Nous cherchions de l’authenticité loin des hôtels modernes qui sont proposés dans toute l’île. Intérieur et extérieur le jour comme la nuit sont charmants. Le patio du petit déjeuner est un régal et les dîners extérieurs avec la superbe vue sur la campagne sont très romantiques. Le personnel est adorable et fait, en nombre restreint, un travail exceptionnel. Le golf n’était pas dans un bon état. Bunkers, tonte et Green très mal entretenu. Ne pas y venir pour ça, je ne l’ai joué qu’une seul fois à cause de cela. Par contre vous avez de beaux golfs à environs 30 MN de l’hôtel. Vous devez bouger un peu pour aller dans les criques sur la cote, mais l’avantage c’est qu’elles sont toutes à même distance dans un rayons de 30 MN. Pensez à visiter Palma à 40 MN de l’hôtel, la vielle ville est magnifique. L’authenticité de ces vieilles bâtisses nécessite quelques compromis de confort car vous n’êtes pas dans un 5 étoiles luxe. Pas de room service. Pas de service après 23h30, pas de plateau café en chambre mais un frigidaire, petit déjeuner à partir de 8h; Coussin de fauteuil un peux fatigué, mais literie et salle de bains parfait ; Mais ces compromis sont facilement acceptables. Ce qui est moins agréable ce sont les matelas et transats de la piscine trop fatigué et certains détails qui montre le manque d’investissement notamment dans l’espace Piscine et le golf. Mais quel bel endroit si vous ne cherchez pas le luxe; nous le conseillons fortement.

We had a lovely stay at La Reserva Rotana. The history and beauty of the old farmhouse property is preserved, but we felt comfortable in our room and enjoyed the pool and lovely breakfast patio and restaurant. Wish we had time to enjoy the golf course as well! The entire staff was friendly, and had plenty of tips for the stay.

Einfach nur schön. Super freundliches Personal. Frühstück und Verpflegung sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Sehr saubere und grosszügige Zimmer. Privater Golfplatz ohne Startzeiten und unbegrenzt spielbar. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

One of the best restaurants on the island!! Apart from the consistently excellent food and wine, the location is wonderful. The service is extremely polite, the open kitchen allows you to watch the chef at work, and the view the restaurant has to offer is especially beautiful during the sunset. Overall can highly recommend giving this restaurant a try, you will not be disappointed!!!
