Camiguin Volcan Beach Eco Retreat & Dive Resort

I could not go to the hotel as my plane was not able to land in Camiguin because of a storm. Even with this situation the hotel did not agree to cancel my booking and get the reimbursement. So, if you want to book this hotel be aware you will not get your money back if you are not able to go. No matter what happens.

This hotel is located a bit far from the main area so you need to walk a lot to get to restaurants or rent a scooter which is available at the hotel. The food at the hotel’s restaurant is very good. The staff is very nice and they organise day tours to White Island and Mantigue Island, as well as snorkelling and diving. Rooms are like bungalows, so there are some mosquitos, cheaper rooms have no A/C.

Очень пожалел, в последствии что выбрал этот отель. 1- ни одна сеть не ловит. Ни смарт ни глобал. 2- вай Фая тож нет. Вечером спать ложиться в 9 часов, ибо делать нечего. 3 - пляжа нет, ближайший рыбацкий в 2 км. 4 - неоправданно высокая цена, номер маленький, в кафе цены космос. Не советую, !! И главное- в туалете нет двери!!!!

a decent resort with HORRIBLE owners. The only part of this whole place that won’t leave a sour taste on your tongue is their local Filipino staff. Very lovely people! Super nice, warming, and welcoming. The owners Gabriel & Sabine from Germany are not here for good business whatsoever, whoever would deal with them in the future after this review is posted, I wish you the best absolute luck! These guys are something else, very shady, dishonest, and are here to make a quick buck from people that come through this island. Such a shame!!! Camiguin is an AMAZING island and Volcan Beach Eco Resort could be enough to drive away many many foreign & local tourists. They also price everything as if they were even close to the level of quality as you would get from other properly ran and maintained resorts out on this island. Absolute joke. After an encounter with these comedians, we’ve then had some time to go around and speak to other local businesses and people, and not a single one was surprised whatsoever, Gabriel and Sabine seem to have a very questionable reputation out here. If you’re reading this and plan to visit Camiguin, do yourself a solid and SKIP this place as your option for ANYTHING. Rooms: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Location: 1/5 Safety IF YOU ARE A SCUBA DIVER. PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Do not SCUBA dive here. Owner used recent tourists as guides and they had no idea where the healthy reefs were. Showed us rubble. Owner promised trips, but did not follow through. Boat is tiny. Tanks not fully filled. Also, there was a rat in my room and the bathroom smelled. Very loud fishing boats pass by at 5:30 am and heavy trucks on the road earlier. However, staff was very friendly. Dive with Coraya Divers.
