Arcadia Hotel - Marina Regia Residence

My jewelry was stolen from my room. Someone broke into my room at 3am using a key card issued by the reception. On the morning of check-out, I left a jewelry box in my room and went to breakfast. In the hallway, I greeted the cleaning staff, who saw exactly which room I had left. When I returned, I hurriedly packed my bags and didn't check if the jewelry was still in the room. Being a 5-star hotel, it didn't even think that a theft might have occurred. After check-out, the room was checked by the maids. A few hours later, while I was on the hotel beach, I decided to check my luggage in the car, because I couldn't remember if I had put the jewlery box in my luggage. Obviously, it wasn't there. I immediately went to the reception, hoping that I had forgotten the jewelry in the room. I was given access to the room (which had already been cleaned), but I found nothing. I asked the lady at the reception: Beatrice, if I remember correctly, to ask the staff if anything had been found. She checked the lost property register, but nothing. From there began a series of inconsistencies and lies that indicate a total lack of transparency. Beatrice had several phone conversations from another room, without us being clearly or officially informed about what was happening. Why weren't the conversations taking place in our presence even though they were directly concerning us? I asked for access to the surveillance camera images and was told that it was not possible because other people were also appearing. (I didn't even notice that there were cameras in the 3rd floor hallway, but I may have missed this detail.) I also requested an access report based on the room card. The answer was that “the IT person is checking from home now”. A few minutes later, I spoke to the manager (Cristina Caramalău) on the phone, who informed us that this was impossible because IT did not work outside of normal business hours. The next day, Cristina called me and told me that the cleaning lady panicked, did not hand over the box, nor did she fill out the register, but the next day she returned the items, which were to be sent to me by courier. Later, on another call, I was told that the items had been entered in the register, but Beatrice, being “new”, did not look carefully. False. Beatrice has been working at this hotel since December, and the information she provided was a constant source of confusion, including when I asked about the restaurant’s opening hours. How incompetent? Also, the night before the theft, around 3:00 - 3:30, a couple broke into my room while I was sleeping. They received a key card from the reception that unlocked the door to my room. The next day, Beatrice, who gave them the key card, claimed that they were drunk and did not know their names or room number. But those people just seemed confused and extremely embarrassed, not drunk. Even if they were drunk: is it normal for the reception of a 5-star hotel to give an access card to a person in such a

Me and my fiancé had an amazing hot stone massage 😍 All staff very cheerful, therapists having knowledge all kind of techniques and performing them very well. They were attentive to our needs. They did an amazing job pampering us. Great place to go to relax your mind. The staff made us feel welcome and amazing and we just wanted to stay there the whole day.  Whorty to go for a relaxing day 🤗

Very professional employees and a very clean and nice place. We liked a lot the SPA facilities and the treatments and also the restaurant, as well. The serving was good and the food very tasty. It is a good option for a relaxing break. It is the third time for us here.

It is not worth the money!!!! It shouldn’t have more than 3*, although it is rated as 4*. AWFUL!!!! Very old furniture, no TV signal, very uncomfortable bad, horrible bathroom, no parking area close to it, just in front of Arena Regia. Avoid it!!!!

This place was a great spot for a retreat after the pandemic. But it has changed in 2022. The restaurant staff is rushed and not well trained. They took away full plates of food, even though I told them 3 times not to do it. I guess it's my fault for needing to take care of my baby girl. The rooms aren't properly cleaned any more, not to mention the balcony. The mattress in our room was horrible. But all is eclipsed by the audacity of the restaurant staff. I didn't ask for much, just a little respect and patience. I really need to warn others not to go, especially if you have kids. The prices have gone up considerably, and the services are no longer worth it.

We returned in 2022 to Arcadia. This year they accepted holiday tickets for the first time, because the number of visitors decreased. And the staff was reduced, they left the old ones and hired (very) young people, but they were also dissatisfied with how they were treated by the management of the company and will leave. In addition, two blocks of 10 and 12 floors permanently block the view to the sea. Too bad!
