We drove all the way from London to WHATLEY MANOR, the location is really rural bit quiet. IT IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL MANOR SINCE 1929. We booked a suite room and upgraded to extra single bed for my son and cost 150£, which is considered very expensive. We booked for 2 nights and it cost us 1500£, [ breakfast included ] in my opinion is very pricey for this location. I think their selling points are spa, sauna, thermal room , hydro pool but for Asian , it is too common for us.The beds are very comfortable, room is very spacious and cozy, provide good quality amenities. They have really beautiful garden good for walking and reading books. Beside price, everything is good.

I recently experienced a spa day at Whatley Manor (Aquarius Spa) and it was beyond amazing. I was recommended the spa by a friend who has been several times so decided to give it a go myself. I was a little dubious about going there alone but I soon realised I needn't be! I was looked after from the moment I entered and didn't feel strange or lonely at any point! I was greeted and looked after so well by Debs who took my original booking and was so courteous and friendly on the phone, I'm so glad I got to meet her in person on the day because she was just as lovely. It was nice to be greeted by the same person who took my original booking and I instantly felt at ease. Just the little smoothie shot and warm towel was enough of a treat before I'd even begun! And walking into the spa to see it sparkling in the sunshine was so welcoming. Despite being a top notch hotel I didn't once feel that it was too much. The spa was very chilled and everyone so friendly and smiley. My massage with Ariana? (excuse the spelling) was divine, one of the best treatments I have ever experienced. This was just the cherry on a very lovely cake. From start to finish I was made to feel like someone important, from the booking process to the day itself, I felt so cared for. I've been to spas before where you just feel like a number, whereas Whatley made me feel like a VIP. Thank you to everyone for making my day, I will certainly be recommending you to all of my friends and family! I will be back soon!

The food was lovely but the amount of wasps was ridiculous. At one point counted 8 wasps and spent most of the time swatting them away. We shooed a few out of the window but they kept coming back even though we closed the window. They were all over the place. We ended up moving tables and they followed us so we left the last of our afternoon tea and left. We did complain and was told nothing they could do as this was a known problem. They said they put jam outside to try to stop them coming in. Having a wasp sting alergy this was a health and safety matter for me and had I known we would not have come. This spoilt what should have been a nice occasion A previous visit was also not good but I like to give second chances but this was ridiculous and quite dangerous. The staff did apologise. We spoke to the waitress and the staff member on the door. But did leave very unhappy. I feel you should be doing something about the wasps as you know it’s an issue not just apologising after the customer was complaining and rising a bigger problem.

I booked Whatley Manor for my mum and I to celebrate my sisters birthday, honestly you will not be disappointed if you treat yourself, friends and family to the best afternoon tea you will ever have and I have had many disappointment's over the years! What you see in the photographs is what you get it, plenty of delicious choices and an incredible selection of teas in a beautiful setting. The staff are really welcoming and attentive without being around if that makes sense and there was no time limit for our visit. When you do feel like stretching your legs then do not leave without having a walk around the beautiful gardens which was a added bonus to our afternoon.
