We stayed at Beck Hall on a Friday night and had a wonderful stay. The food was amazing, setting perfect and all staff were lovely. My only slight issue is even with the heating off I found the room way too hot and I am always cold...but we will be coming back anyway

I've been wanting to stay here for so long! My husband and I stayed for a night for our anniversary and it didn't disappoint. The food was lovely, I couldn't fault any of it, my husband who isn't vegan was also very impressed. The vegan Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese were a highlight of the Sunday roast. Also, get the sticky toffee pudding, you won't be disappointed. Our room was lovely, clean and quiet. The little chocolates in the room and fresh oat milk for hot drinks was a lovely touch too. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great experience, we'll definitely be back :)

Had a great meal here recently. Very welcoming, nice decor, good service, interesting approach across the stone bridge over the beck all adds to the charm. North Indian thali and seitan short rib were both generous and delicious but be aware the restaurant is 100% vegan - we aren't but still had a really good meal. Recommended.

Lovely stay, thank you. The women staff were so kind and warm - one offered to give me a lift due to limited mobility. And they remembered my food sensitives. And lovely hugs from the other woman on departure. Just sorry I didn’t catch their names.. Food portion sizes defeated me. The prime snug spot by the fire, was good for chatting with other guests. And the inclusion of dogs certainly helps it feel homey. I hope to return. X

We only stayed one night but had a lovely time and would definitely stay longer next time. The staff were very friendly, the snug was really cozy and the food was amazing. Best vegan fish and chips we've had! Location also perfect for walking.

We arrived on Friday with our 2 furry freinds Cilla and Jarvis to be met with wonderful staff, Beck Hall is wonderfully, the dogs were immediately given water and treats we stayed 2 night and ate in the restaurant twice and also for breakfast too, and food did not disappoint, all vegan and doggie friendly what more could we ask for. The Jewl in the crown are the staff we absolutely loved them We will definitely return and we can't wait.

Fantastic location in a unique setting . I would recommend this for anyone not just those who have a plant based diet . Staff are super friendly and helpful and the hotel is also fantastic if you have dogs. Superb for access to walking . As mentioned in previous reviews would have liked more fresh fruit and shop bought sausages for breakfast were a disappointment. But what a great selection of food on offer and the afternoon tea is spectacular!

Lovely food, small room without a view, friendly staff, but for us unfortunately we had to leave a day early due to the snow and were charged for it 100% . Although people have cancellation policies, we have never been charged for what we haven’t had before especially in such circumstances like safety concerns, we couldn’t afford to get stuck as we had a family funeral ahead of us, and the snow came down They said had they not been fully booked they might of been able to do something, even a % back would of been good. It meant including food £348.00 for one night which is huge for us.

Amazing food and setting, such a cosy and homely feel; the staff were so kind and friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Wonderful plant-based food made with love. We enjoyed fab walks and sitting by the roaring fire in the evenings meeting and chatting to new friends.
