Buhala Lodge

We last stayed here 15 years ago & truly hope it wont be another 15 before we return !! Gorgeous small lodge just outside the Kruger Park- we still saw Elephant , Buffalo & Hippo from the deck & from our room Food & service were great- meals were really delicious Wifi could be improved - was a bit patchy Beds are a bt on the hard side - could use a topper We played golf at Leopard Creek - Buhala is one of the accredited places to stay in order to play there & the nearest to the course

Sehr zuvorkommender Service und sehr freundlich! Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, könnten aber etwas mehr Licht vertragen, ansonsten alles bestens. Die Verpflegung ließ keine Wünsche offen, Auswahl an Top-Weinen ist super.

Un grand merci à toute l’équipe du Buhala Lodge pour ces 6 jours formidables! Un accueil sublime, un personnel très attentionné et toujours souriant. La restauration est merveilleuse. La vue sur la rivière est incroyable ! On y passe de longs moments à observer et écouter la nature ! Chambre très propre et très jolies. Les sorties safari sont également à la hauteur ! Top top. Merci nous rentrons avec de très beaux souvenirs.

Thank you all at Buhala lodge for giving us an absolutely fantastic experience. The lodge itself had a really welcoming atmosphere and the rooms with a view towards Crocodile river was just fantastic. The friendly and personal service given to us was really appreciated and a big thank you to Connor, our professional and knowledgable ranger that gave us so much new insights of the wild life and letting us see all big five plus so much more. We now have a completely different view of wild dogs. We couldn’t wish for more than this. We are two couples that spent three weeks travelling around in South Africa but the four nights at Buhala lodge (24-28 January) was absolutely our best stay. Be sure that we will come back again one day.

Sehr freundlicher stehts bemühter Service der für alle Belange zur Verfügung stand und erfüllte. Zimmer und gesamte Lodge sehr sauber gehalten, wenn auch einige Möbel, Kaffeeautomaten,Fön einer Überholung / Erneuerung bedürften ( das geht ans Management ) um einen fünf Sterne Standard zu erfüllen.

Booked to stay in the Elephant suite for a few nights, as we had been a number of times and enjoyed ourselves so much. This time round it was so disappointing, service and experience has dropped down. Looks like the owners have stepped back, leaving things untidy and slow in running. It picked up when they turned up one morning for breakfast, although the downside was all of the staff running around them and serving us cold food instead. I wish I hadn’t booked for such a special event now, and hope that the special place it used to be returns. Dirty showers, full of previous residents hair and soap was just one of the many issues.
