I stayed with mine and my brother's family for 1 night on 28th January 2025 and my problems began as soon as I reached the destination.
There is no proper drop off to the hotel, you've to go through other hotels' parking and drop off points (that if they let you and our driver had to argue back and forth with security).
At reception they offer drinks but when asked to use water to fill a baby bottle they rejected very rudely.
To add to our troubles our room was not ready when we came for check in at 30 minutes past 4pm and we were super tired being 2 families of young toddlers. They did not get it ready even 3 hours after that and we had to stuff our luggage in a single room with everybody being tired and hungry after Umrah and travel.
When they did offer us the room it had a very bad smell of vomit/dead animal in it. We tried to endure it being so tired but it kept getting worse and we had to call the front desk. They sent someone from junior staff to confirm it and when confirmed they sent 2 people to find the source. They narrowed it down to coming from the carpet beside the bed. But to our surprise despite asking and pleading for a new room they just sprayed air freshener on top of it. That spray was super strong to the extent that it just numbed our smell completely and we were able to sleep.
Please note rooms are super tiny, think Japanese/UK hotels but worse!
The next day when asked for toiletries in the morning they sent someone saying "are you ready for checkout‘!? Then one of the staff brought a toilet roll instead of actual toiletries and by the third time they were able to understand the request.
Breakfast served was ok, I've had a few breakfasts in Saudi hotels and it would be in the middle.
I just don't know how I endured so much and such negligence on their behalf! Maybe it was tiredness or maybe it was the excitement of seeing Holy Kaaba. But I would strongly advise anyone visiting Makkah to kindly save yourselves and stay away from this place.
