3 Minutes to Giant City - 6 Minutes to SIU - 4 Minutes to Shawnee Winetrail!

Clean, quiet cabin. Several cabins fairly close by on the property. A thicket of trees separates the property from a golf course and it is a couple of blocks from a highway, so not exactly secluded. That isn't necessarily a negative. I felt safe there and it was easy to find with the directions from the host It was a quiet environment and very pleasant to sit out on the deck which was shaded by a tree at Cabin 2. Unlike some of the other cabins, mine had only two steps up to the deck, so access was quite easy. Had a nice stone fireplace that would've been cozy if I was there in winter. As it was in the mid- nineties. I appreciated the AC. Had everything I needed for making simple meals. Bed was very comfortable, and was a great base for day hikes to many different areas of the Shawnee, not just Giant City. Close to places to get gas, groceries, too. Good value and I hope to stay there on my next trip.

We love it so much we are return visitors. He’s an excellent host and the perks are awesome. We didn’t even know Cracker Jacks were still available A very peaceful getaway

Excellent stay Perfect cabin for relaxing stay. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water. Well equipped right down to snacks! Price was affordable and the host was responsive.The only upgrade possibility would be a new couch. That one has seen better days!

Good price This cabin was a good stay for the price. Location was a short drive to what we were visiting. A new couch should be on the to purchase list. We were sitting pretty low.
