The only reason I did not give an overall excellent for this property is the food. Breakfast and lunch were excellent but sometimes the dinners were less than great. There was no choice only what was cooked on the night. Also it could be because as a westerner I am used to only the best boneless cuts of meat, but on occasion the meat was inedible due to bones and gristle. A shame because the flavours were very good and the staff were excellent. For future reference a description of the food would be useful. If I was to return to this venue I would probably only eat vegetarian. The island itself was quite small (not a criticism) and easy to walk around, the people were quite friendly. Overall I would say this property fit in the backpackers / divers niche. As I was not looking for the usual Maldives experience this was an advantage for me. The only issue as far as the accommodation was concerned is that my bed linens did not appear to be changed the whole 2 weeks I was there, but I could be mistaken if the sheets were washed then put back on the same day. The private beach at the property was wonderful and very private - I had it all to myself for my whole visit. Didn’t worry me that I had to be covered from neck to knee for religious reasons but would not recommend swimming in your beach cover up. The public beach at the other end of the island (10 / 15 minutes walk) did not look all that well kept so I only went for a look once and then stayed on my private beach.

We liked the fact that the property is next to the beach, however they forgot to book our boat from the airtport to Liberty and they did not arrange alternative accomodation while we waited for the afternoon boat. After providing an offer for one excursion they were not proactive in offering other activities. While we understand the issue of poor logistics in getting food to the island, food quality was poor and lacked variety. I would give it one star. I will not be a repeat custumer.

Ho trascorso 10 meravigliosi giorni presso la guesthouse “Liberty” nell’isola di Mahibadhoo. La location ha una stupenda vista mare, pulita, cibo ottimo e sempre fresco e diverso. Il personale è eccezionale, sempre sorridente, disponibile e attenti ad ogni esigenza. La gente dell’isola adorabile, l’isola molto carina. Vasta scelta di escursioni, tutte ben organizzate sempre dallo staff! Servizio di trasporto garantito e puntuale, tramite pubblic speed boat. La consiglio fortemente come esperienza autentica in un villaggio tipico maldiviano. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Vacanza stupenda, mi auguro ti ritornarci!!!!

We spent an unforgettable 10 days in this wonderful hospitable guest house! Rooms with a huge double bed, refrigerator, air conditioning, ceiling fan. There is always hot water. The cleaning is excellent, change of towels, beach towel,drinking water in the room. Breakfast, lunch/dinner. There are many delicious dishes for dinner, not only local, but also European cuisine. Many thanks to the chefs! You guys are great! We were surrounded by care and friendly attitude. We will remember you and Let's remember these days!

Booked for 5D4N full boards diving package with Liberty Guests House. As a solo diver, I’m quite hesitant if they didn’t give their full diving services during my stay. To be honest, proceed with the booking without any research, only read a few comments from here and followed their Facebook page. Surprisingly, I received the best services and great hospitality from the owner, Zala & all the staffs. Started with Tharuka, helping with booking and arrangements. I got a nice room with sea views. I watched sunrises every morning. The room has AC and water heater. When I arrived, immediately I had dive briefing and did check-up dive after the lunch. Since I’m the only diver, I had Jailam & Zala to accompany me. Both of them are instructors. Even they have limited diving equipment, but they provided good services. Then, I went to Omadhoo Wall for my first dive with a big boat and another 2 crews. I had incredible dives experience, Jailam is a great guide, patience and supportive which made me feel safe. He shared tips to get a good video with Insta360 too. On the second last day, we tried to look for whale shark, but failed. Last day, I asked the possibility to repeat Dhigurah Baeyru site for whale shark, my last chance to accomplish bucket list. Supposedly I did 2 dives, but I chose to proceed with 1 because it’s quite far location and I need to clear my ‘No fly’ duration before my flight. Another surprised, they agreed and we successfully see the whale shark. The boat crews are awesome. After whale shark encounter, we had lunch at the sandbank, which I don’t even have to swim (they get the boat closer to the beach). Succeed the dives with sights of whale shark, nurse sharks, grey shark, dolphin, manta & eagle rays. All the meals are good, nice Maldivian meals. Even the last dinner is on the beach under the stars celebrating marriage proposal & anniversary of 2 guests couples. I would recommend anyone to stay with Liberty Guest House. Plan to come back next year for another visit.

Первый раз отдыхал вообще где либо, все понравилось, спасибо liberty guest house!!!️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️️ Отзывчивый персонал, в номерах чисто и уютно стоят кондиционеры и самое главное океан в пару шагов от номера! Вкусно и недорого кормят! Завтраки-обеды и ужины так-же на высшем уровне!

Staying at Liberty Guesthouse was great. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe there, the staff was lovely, very helpful and accommodating. I took a fullboard option. The food was delicious, tasty local dishes. The surrounding is wonderful. The beach is at your doorstep. You can swim and snorkel and see so many fishes and corals. As other reviews mentioned, there's some smoke sometimes coming from a garbage disposal place nearby where they burn the rubbish, but that didn't bother me, just a little smoke while you can enjoy the paradise and the local maldivian way of life at such a small price comparing to expensive resorts.
