"Mafia Island Basecamp has a wonderful ocean view, beautiful property, and spacious updated rooms. The rooms are very comfortable with double shower, air conditioner, hairdryer, and in room tea/coffee. The staff is friendly and very accommodating! I enjoyed the food (large portions and tasty), the only thing I would add is regular coffee (rather than cappuccino/latte) and pina coladas (there are other cocktails offered but with all the coconuts around I was craving a pina colada). The beach bar is exceptional for a nice Indian Ocean breeze. The pool is absolutely amazing! Saltwater and not brutally cold like some, yet still so refreshing! I didn’t try scuba or whale shark swimming, but the lodge was happy to arrange these things as well as other tours if I needed. The massage also was excellent. I believe this property is the best one if truly want to be right on the ocean! I would come back!"

"Nice bungalows set in a well tended garden. Lovely airy restaurant lounge. The manager was very helpful, including helping us to deal with the airlines which is well above and beyond the call of duty. Location is a 15 minute walk from Utende beach. You can borrow a bike (Meremeta has bikes) or get a tuk-tuk."

"This place is a delight. It’s basic, but has everything you need. The tent is super clean and comfy (make sure to keep it closed). The staff are really friendly and the food was amazing. Little jungle paradise!"

"Marco, Francesca ja heidän tiiminsä ovat erittäin tervetulleita. Ruoka oli hieno! On aina mukava olla jossain rauhallinen, jossa löydät myös ihmisiä mukana yhteisössä. Eco Shamba Kilole on ihanteellinen rakastajille ja lintuille. Lentävät hirviöt ovat juuri talon vieressä. Niitä on hieno mangrove metsälinja juuri maan. Meillä oli hyvä aika purkaa siellä!"
