We had horrible experience at this hotel.The room was small and you can hear everything happening in neighboring rooms. The safe and the fan and air conditioner did not work and the staff were not helpful when we called to ask about this.The towels were old and the breakfast was not good.The staff overall was not friendly.

El servicio de cena en su restaurante deja mucho que desear, el sábado 8 de junio hubo que esperar una hora y media para que atendieran. Mal. El café del desayuno siempre frío. Una purga. No lo entiendo. El personal correcto. En general, muy normalito, solo lo recomendaría con estas observaciones.

"Would I stay in Black Tulip again?" Answer: "Yes". Detailed comments: We stayed 5 nights on the Gaia side of Porto. It's about a 20 - 30 minutes walk to downtown Porto. It suited us as we normally walk many miles daily. There is a tram across the street but we never used it. Hotel is very clean throughout. Our room was a good size with a decent ensuite and full size bath. Fixtures and fittings sturdy and everything worked; safe in room. Daily maid service excellent. Beds a bit hard for our liking. Dining-room is on 10th floor with brilliant views and nicely set up: white table clothes etc. Friendly attentive staff. Usual buffet type breakfast with good selection. Main downside (and as other reviewers have also mentioned) there are only 2 tiny lifts (hold max of 4 people, or 2 with suitcases). Our room was on the 1st floor and it took forever to wait for an empty lift to the 10th floor for breakfast. There are no stairs... only the fire-escape stairs which we used (we checked and were given permission) when going out/returning to the hotel as it was only 1 flight. But the stairwell is very dimly lit and everything is painted grey: walls, ceiling, concrete steps etc, so it was hard to see the actual steps - needed extra care not to miss a step and fall. I'd be worried what it would be like if there was a real emergency evacuation using the emergency stairs. But yes, overall I would stay here again.

There are only 2 small elevators for 10 stores hotel. They are always busy. The breakfast is very poor. No fresh vegetables, not enough coffee cups. We tried to use safe. It closed and did not open. The refrigerator was not working on the day of our arrival, though it was fixed next day.

Hotel moderne de 10 étages qui a l avantage d être situé à 100m d'un passage de métro qui vous envoie au centre historique en 15 minutes. Chambre spacieuse, propre avec un grand lit confortable. Personnel de l accueil et de service aussi bien au bar et au restaurant très à l écoute et de bons conseil. Nous recommandons le restaurant au 10 e étage pour sa tranquillité, sa vue et les plats proposés de grande qualité à un prix plus que correct.

Per noi è stata un'ottima esperienza. L'albergo è decentrato, ma questo non è necessariamente negativo: avendo l'auto consente di non addentrarsi nel caotico centro di Porto, offrendo un comodo garage e una comodissima metropolitana proprio di fronte all'albergo. Personale gentilissimo, a cominciare dalla reception. Buona la colazione e ottima la cena. Su questo bisogna specificare che offrono un menu a buffet a prezzo fisso (probabilmente di qualità mediocre) e un menu alla carta, di buona qualità, con piatti abbondantissimi (abbiamo fatto fatica a finire tutto) e prezzi molto bassi per le abitudini italiane, in una sala al decimo piano con vista pazzesca. Camera pulita, spaziosa, con letto comodo e bagno ben attrezzato, compresa una bilancia pesapersone, mai trovata in un albergo. In prospettiva di tornare a Porto lo sceglieremo sicuramente di nuovo.

Nous avons eu des difficultés à trouver l'hôtel en voiture, car beaucoup de sens unique autour. Il n'y a rien à redire du service d'accueil prêt à vous rendre service. L'hôtel est un peu bruyant s'il y a la présence de groupes qui prennent d'assaut le buffet du petit déjeuner.

Abbiamo soggiornato 1 sola notte (fortunatamente). Camera molto sporca, con polvere invecchiata sui battiscopa, lenzuola macchiate, macchie varie sul pavimento che camminandoci risultava appiccicaticcio, stessa cosa al ristorante, che inoltre ci ha offerto una cena pessima, di scarsa varietà e qualità. Posizione decentrata e sconveniente per fare una passeggiata. Sconsigliatissimo!!!!

Pretty good hotel, but but not 4* definitely. Well located, good hot breakfasts, amazing view from the restaurant on 10th floor. Rooms are OK, but with minimum equipment and old furniture. Good for the price, sough..

Moho en las habitaciones. Suelo con grietas, almohadas incomodas. Suciedad manifiesta. Salones de desayuno en el sótano para grupos. Bufet insuficiente. Para un hotel de 4 estrellas,tenia muy mala calidad.
